Were we Too harsh on Mass Effect Andreomda???

The fact that the studio that made the game is shut down and their refusal to even talk about the game shows that they don't care.

1- Would they have "merged" the studios if they believed mea was a successful game and planning on continuing it.
2- The patches are for MP only now. They are done with trying to fix SP.
3- DLC means the future of the game and if they don't talk about it, it is dead

1.As someone else stated the merger was in process long before MEA came out.
2. You have inside track I assume or some other proof that patching and updates have ceased for SP? If not you're talking out of your ass.
3. We are not even at the 5 month mark yet and they legally can't say anything. I will admit with the merger it is uncertain but not final.

It is yet to be confirmed. And if it is true doesn't that mean EA didn't believe mea will be a success even long before its release?

It's not taking backwards. Most of the players won't even touch a ME game if it takes place in andromeda, going back to MW is a safe solution

The other elephant in the room now is after Montreal being shut down, Bioware is wanting to do 2 more DA games and ditch the MEA dlc all together. If Mass Effects comes back, MW will most likely be where it be set if not other reason, a set and familiar foundation. EA isn't going to waste money on a new setting for ME if at all.

This is so much like the mindset of SWTOR players who raged over Fallen Empire arc and the emphasis on certain things the raid crowd didn't like. They were firmly convinced their rage would change things back or get the game shut down and they would get, as some put it, a "proper star wars mmo." If this game's worst case scenarios play out you will not get your "proper mass effect." Like SWTOR, if this franchise is shuttered you will never see another ME game, let alone one embracing the horrendous idea of placing it in the Milky Way, just as SWTOR fans will never see another MMO again. Sometimes I hope it happens because some never learn and those of us who can cope with disappointment can watch the festering underbelly of either community turn to dust.

Heh, thanks! Some folks give me plenty of material. The thing is I really hope EA focuses on the rage over real issues with the game going forward and don't just bury it forever because of the histrionic net rage.  the whole silence about dlc worries me that this may be the case. I don't think the uber-whiners realize that though.

This. Nobody is praising this game to the heavens. It's disappointment for the many, easy to know.
