Yes they basically did that and there are fans out there defending Bioware.. people should be furious. I spent a lot of money on that uninspired crap, at least have the balls to provide customer support. You take our money and tell us to piss off. You write this bs letter to the fans saying how much you care blah blah blah... Then only support multiplayer for the microtransactions.

Before everyone starts painting Casey Hudson as some sort of game dev superjesus, as previously said, he will work on what he's ordered to work on. The only thing he can do, and hopefully will, is form a presentation and pitch to his superiors for a ME:A sequel and hopefully if it's good and he can show there's money on the table to be snatched up down the line this franchise won't be forgotten. That's realistic optimism and plausible.

I love how they released literally 1 outfit for people that bought deluxe edition.  I got the super deluxe edition. They took a huge dump on me. Next time I'll know better. |

Releasing the game in an unfinished state was the big misstep. The issue of DLC, not so much (I can't imagine there was a suitably large appetite for more ME:A content).

The bolded part is contrary to Bioware's recently released statement. It seems pretty direct when it states... Nothing in this statement makes me feel like the dlc was canceled due to poor reception. The fact is it never had dlc (in the traditional sense) planned from what we've seen or heard of so far. You realize their recent post was damage control for the game's poor reception, right? Every BioWare game since KOTOR 1 (the only exception is JE) has had some sort of DLC content. If you are truly gullible enough to believe Andromeda was never planning to have story DLC (every Mass Effect game has had story DLC), that is your prerogative. Even the ending of Andromeda made it rather clear BioWare Montreal was hoping to do story DLC. That didn't happen, which is why the comics/novels were delayed in order to tell the story of the quarian ark instead. When were the novels and comics officially delayed? I mean in terms of timeline to the games release. I am curious about that now because, well, implications of lans and how they changed. Not that the ultimate answer really matters in any form. |

Message received Bioware. Me and my money are going. Well for me, it's not only BioWare but BioWare and ALL of EA; I deleted my EA account yesterday. (I can still re-visit ME 1 and 2) I only wish management had some of the talent and dedication evident in the artwork and production of Andromeda (Inquisition, the ME trilogy). Management mostly produced hype and promises and patches. To me, abandoning Andromeda just suggests that EA has discarded the story driven Single Player game mode and it's the end of an era. I'm sure someone else will pick up the banner and keep it alive, but likely none of the big AAA producers—until it's 'rediscovered' and EA has to copy to compete instead of innovating like BioWare used to do. CD Projekt is working on Cyberpunk 2077 right now and Quantam Dream is working on Detroit: Becomming Human. Those are the titles I'd be paying attention to right now. Dragon Age 4 is happening I guess but I'm not really thinking about it because that game is probably years from even being announced. |

Well he did play it and he's entitled to his opinion. The pace to Eos, which is the first thing after the game's exposition may simply be not interesting enough for him. I disagree but he actually played it before giving a negative opinion-- also he hasn't gone a tirade about parts of the game he never experienced, unlike some others around here... |

I know the framed narrative structure of the game isn't for everyone, but I thought the entire prologue, in spite of its weaknesses, was really rather engaging. I guess it helps that I think Varric makes an excellent narrator character. |

Not that the ultimate answer really matters in any form. The earliest mention I can confirm of a delay was a month ago. The reason it seems clear that the delay of the novels are directly connected to the game is because one of the titles was changed from "Annihilation" to "The Lost Ark."
