what's millenial about this? while people of all ages can do this and we see this mindset everyday, the millenial generation has grown up with social media integrated into their lives a way gen-x'rs like myself never did and I find more of them are inclined to just watch a youtube vid and act like they have made an informed opinion. Also note I'm talking in broad terms about an overall demographic not people on an individual basis. I've seen this attitude among many millenials. Look at this one. Smug millenial... saw a vid, thinks he can cure everything now.

Cry to a forum administrator about it. no one is trying to say you're breaking forum rules. play games before you tear them down. Such a millenial attitude. "but i watched pewdeepie play it. game sux hurdurlololol" Perhaps, but as they say, it doesn't take a mechanic to recognize a shitty car.

Though they are within their rights to have whatever opinion they want and spend their money how they wish. Of course, we all do. I'm just talking about how one arrives at an opinion. If you're not sure you would like a certain dish, would you sample it at least for yourself, like a trial for a game, or would you base your opinion on a dish based on a youtube video of someone eating it? In recent years I feel that far too many millenials would do the latter.

When were the novels and comics officially delayed? I mean in terms of timeline to the games release. I am curious about that now because, well, implications of lans and how they changed. Not that the ultimate answer really matters in any form. The earliest mention I can confirm of a delay was a month ago. The reason it seems clear that the delay of the novels are directly connected to the game is because one of the titles was changed from "Annihilation" to "The Lost Ark." I'm willing to bet The Lost Ark, which now releases in December, is either being partially rewritten or expanded to include the Quarian Ark story. https://www.reddit.com/r/masseffect/comments/6jxlf6/no_spoilers_mass_effect_andromeda_novels_delayed/ Nah, it's still Annihilation. "Lost Ark" was a working title for that book on the Web back already in 2016, so that book was always about the Quarian Ark. For example look here for an early 2017 discussion about the book titles (because those early Amazon links with the placeholder name don't have a date anymore): https://www.reddit.com/r/masseffect/comments/5o46hp/mass_effect_andromeda_the_lost_ark_never_heard/

Don't worry, I have. I forced myself to play through the game twice in an attempt to find something I liked about the story or setting, and I came up empty.

Sure the preffered way is to try it for yourself and see if you like it or not but there are a whole bunch of different ways the human race can judge if something is worth their time or effort. Restaraunt reviews or the like. And while I have not seen them I am sure even yotubers do that.

Perhaps, as they say, you should try it for yourself and see instead of relying on the opinions of others. Try for yourself means forking out a 60 or thereabouts in good faith. Not everyone can make this experiment for a frigging game. I'm generation X, but I also rely on youtubers to tell me what's in the package. But, as I said months ago, I stick to those reviewers that mirror my personal tastes. That I found out by comparing games I already own to their reviews of said games. Right now I mainly stick with Angry Joe, because he always seems in line with my personal judgments.

I think Anthem is a gonna have a real rough time selling now that Bioware has lost the trust of so many of its fans. The ME3 ending was bad enough but after cocking up an entire game and needing 5 months to fix it then to tell fans they're canning the whole project, that's like digging your own grave. How can we expect anything different with future titles from them?

I think Anthem is a gonna have a real rough time selling now that Bioware has lost the trust of so many of its fans. The audience of Anthem may overlapp with ME fans, but it's obviously geared at a new audience that is more into MMO than SP. So, apart from the negativity that is to be expected at release, it says nothing on how successful the game will be. I don't think it will suffer much under this recent disappointment, since quite a number of people on here, me included, aren't even interested in Anthem.

I make my selection of whom I'm prepared to listen to based on my own tastes. you're taking me too literally and the whole point is too many people will snap on a game without even playing it because they saw a youtube video and pewdeepie or whoever it was started busting on it. I have my distinct criticisms of this game too, but I played it.

what's millenial about this? while people of all ages can do this and we see this mindset everyday, the millenial generation has grown up with social media integrated into their lives a way gen-x'rs like myself never did and I find more of them are inclined to just watch a youtube vid and act like they have made an informed opinion. Also note I'm talking in broad terms about an overall demographic not people on an individual basis. You know I'm not sure if I qualify as a Gen X or not. I was born in 1982 and I definitely feel like one and not a millennial. I didn't grow up with any of the social media. I used good old fashion paper lol.

Managed 40hrs. Found out I couldn't care less about the characters or story and sold it. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't anything special either. Just bland. Then I tried DA:I (which apparently I should hate if I don't like Andromeda) and it's now my favourite DA game. Very similar in structure (quests and various areas to unlock) but light years apart in terms of story, characters and dialogue. It's like they read about DA:I and tried to copy it but never actually played it.

Like you I didn't think MEA was a bad game, just bland. In my case it was even more obvious, since I played and loved DAI before playing MEA. So I had the direct comparison right from the get go. And I had exactly the opposite experience, as my DAI experience ranged from bored out of my mind to enraged with game's direction to the point of swearing off the franchise, while Andromeda was love, love, love. I played both games back to back for the first time. In both cases I loved the preceding titles to bits and also just freshly played it for the first/second time - I spent late 2016 early 2017 catching up on ME/DA They are not light years away. It simply depends on which one appeals to you personally. I am still suppressing impulses to write rambling posts about Inquisition, but it boils down to the simple fact that I did not like its story and characters. i accept that it could be a game that tons of people love, but I hate to the point of screaming, and that I don't like it doesn't mean it's "bad writing". If anything, character characterization is more nuanced in Andromeda, the chars being more real and conflicted for me, while Inquisition reuses the same cliched fantasy tropes without an ounce of "real" behind it to the point of reusing the weirdo speech pattern on Cole and Sera to make character more distinct from the era before voicing set characters apart. And even then, i have troubles recognizing during banters which character speaks in Inquisition they are all so generic and boring.

I love how they released literally 1 outfit for people that bought deluxe edition. I got the super deluxe edition. They took a huge dump on me. Next time I'll know better. It is a rather scummy thing to do isn't it. I'm glad I never buy those editing things (unless it's well after the fact and clear what you get).

The thing is, MEA took all the facets of DAI I didn't like and went "Hold my beer"
