I'll also suggest catching gameplay on YT too. CohhCarnage has early access and he has recorded gameplay. I've been watching him play on Twitch. His play style is brisk and concise, he doesn't waffle all over the place when it comes to making decisions, etc. He has also patiently gone through all the classes and skill tree during char creation; took about an hour, to let viewers have a complete picture. Easy to pause in his POE II YT so anyone can pore over as long as they like. 

I think i will be Priest like first game. But after know the truth, my faith is shaking. SO maybe i go multiclass with Priest and new one.

I'm finishing a POE 1 game, I don't have my old saves.
I'm almost done, but the loading screens are really testing my patience.

I'll have a cipher to import, but I'm pretty sure you can change class/races etc even when you import a saved game.
I'm half tempted to multi class either a ranger/cipher or a cipher/healing class.
With the smaller party size, I don't want to be stuck with the priest companion.

By the way, do people know how they are going to name their ship ?
It pops up in some dialogue.
I thought I was going to go with "The Love Boat" for the lolz, but it might get too silly even for me.
Second option is a name paying hommage to Durance.
But I haven't figure it out yet.

From what I saw you can either roleplay a Watcher who's into his/her main mission, or one that really feel like living the pirate life.

I no longer have the save file for it, but I'm going to try to recreate my Aedyran mercenary wood elf warrior.  He was a beast with Tidefall.

In Pillars 1 I started with a warrior with a righteous good-doer attitude which slowly deteriorated over the course of the game turning him more and more into a merciless bloodthirsty anti-hero. Probably a case of  ''what you fight you become''.  To stay in character I'll multi class, I think I'll go with:

Fighter/Paladin - Subclasses Unbroken / Bleak Walker. 

This will probably piss off a lot of the companions. Yeah I think this is going to be fun. 


I even have a name for my ship already: The Nightfire

I've a feeling it's going to be a factor in gameplay. Right now, Cohh isn't having too much trouble and he's on hard difficulty. He has reiterated again, that the devs are going to do some tweaking / balancing. Not saying that multi-class isn't good but thinking that maybe after the balancing, the top tier skills are going to make quite an impact in the tougher fights.

P.S. For anyone not a backer but thinking of getting this game, GOG is offering this title tied with another; Wasteland 2, for the price of one. Offer lasts until May 15th.

^ For me, between POE2 and DOS 2, I prefer the latter. I don't feel involved / drawn to the POE2 chars. I'm finding gameplay somewhat tedious; especially the ship battles. It's all text based (I wish it's something like Sea Of Thieves, that would have been awesome). 

No, I haven't played it but considering that I also watched DOS2 gameplay before making a decision (and did not regret it), POE2 is on the ok side from what I see. This is imo, of course.

Also, there appears to be three pets available through the console commands:

COSMIC DOG - Cosmic Dog Pet

COSMIC BIRD - Cosmic Bird Pet

COSMIC CAT - Cosmic Cat Pet

These codes do not appear to disable achievements

I'd maybe suggest some flavor of Priest, since they're pretty damn handy to have around, especially for a first playthrough. The Priest who you get as a companion can be an...acquired taste, so at least you have your own character to handle priestly duties if you don't end up keeping him in the active party.

I start the game already and I play by import save. Still play as Priest (Berath) plus new class Wizard.
