Watch Dogs Watch Dogs 2 Watch Dogs Legion
Something needs to get me through the winter, so I'm quite looking forward to Watch Dogs 2 (alongside Dishonored 2). Despite the sourpuss protagonist, I enjoyed the first game and the second one looks to be an improvement. I enjoy the careful stealthy approach (ideally non-lethal). Ubisoft's official forum usually has tumbleweeds rolling through it: forums.ubi.com/forumdisplay.php/1250-Watch-Dogs-2So I thought I'd see if anyone over here was interested.

Yeah, I see a lot of promise in this game and it seems to have none of the things that made me disinterested in the first game. I like the variety in how the player can approach a mission. It really seems like the player is allowed a lot of freedom to decide how they want to carry out most missions.
I especially like that it allows you to mix how you want to do things like you can use your drone to scout out area, plant traps and such before moving in yourself if you so please. You can also choose to carry out the mission using your drone or wheels which is how I think I'm going to be doing things.
I also noticed something neat in the video I watched fearing gameplay wherein two players were using a drone to scout out the area where their target where. They noticed one of the people they wanted out of the way was wanted for killing a cop and the two had the option of calling the police on him. The police even showed up and arrested the guy. It was a neat way of getting rid of obstacles.
I also like the non-lethal methods you can use like the stun-gun. I think I've heard them say that you can accomplish missions without violence so I'm hoping that sticks in storyline missions since I heard it didn't in the previous game.

I also like the cast this time around: they seem to be likable bunch with each their own character and their interactions with one another seem to be great especially the mission banter. This is from a mission in the demo where Marcus and Wrench are on their way to a location in a cover van. Wrench: "I think we're about to earn ourselves a vacation. Are you in?"Marcus: "I always wanted to swim with dolphins. No - stingrays! Stingrays would be cool"Wrench: "Oh no, no, fuck that, dude. Those fuckers killed the Crocodile Hunter. You can't trust them. Veto." Marcus: "That's your one veto. Dolphins it is."Wrench: "Come on, Marcus. You can't trust them either."Marcus: "Really? Why not?"Wrench: "I saw this documentary once, ok, theme park set up overnight dolphins cams because people kept getting murdered... and sure enough, they end up with a grade-A dolphin snuff video in the morning."Marcus: "That sounds more like Orcas."Wrench: "No, no, no. No, dolphins, dude. Flippers. Fins. Blow-holes. You know-"*call comes in* Sitara: "How's it coming along, guys?"Marcus: "So far, we've vetoed stingrays and orcas... but dolphins are still on the table."Wrench: "Oh no, they're not." Sitara: "Good call on the stingrays. Those killed the Crocodile Hunter."Josh: "Yo, I am so confused right now. What are we talking about?" Marcus: "We're coordinating the angle adjustments needed to transmit data trhough microwave dishes."Josh: "You need any help?"Marcus: "We're good."It has to be heard just for how Wrench's lines are delievered: the voice acting is really good, in my opinion. The only video I have of it is the one below, though, and it has some commentary during some bits of the banter.

Argument: "Ubisoft does not care about fan feedback."
Counterargument: "Watch Dogs 2 seem to show that they've taken some of the first Watch Dogs's criticisms to heart."
Rebuttal: "You're just in denial." Perhaps I'd find an actual rebuttal a more convincing argument than an ad hominem?

FINE. FUCKING FINE.
I'LL SPELL IT OUT FOR YOU.
Seen The Division? Rainbow Six? Far Cry? Assassin's Creed?
The first is a broken mess - more than six months after release, the game is dead and plain worthless. The second is balanced based on a whim - who's crying more, seems like. The third is basically just a copy paste scenario - a few things change, but you get the same old shit in a new look. The fourth is basically beating a dead horse - and I hope I don't need to remind you that the golden age of AC ended with Revelations.
Need more?

The second is balanced based on a whim - who's crying more, seems like. The third is basically just a copy paste scenario - a few things change, but you get the same old shit in a new look. The fourth is basically beating a dead horse - and I hope I don't need to remind you that the golden age of AC ended with Revelations. Need more? See, that's an actual rebuttal because you're presenting cases to support your argument rather than presenting logical fallacies.
I haven't played or been interested in the Division, Rainbow Six, Far Cry and have not played the recent Assassin's Creed games. I should note that I don't see what's wrong with continuing a game series as long as people are still enjoying them like, say, people feeling that Syndicate was a worthwhile installment in the Assassin's Creed franchise and still enjoy said franchise then I see no reason for it to end.
None of that, however, deals with whether or not Watch Dog 2 is a case of Ubisoft ignoring feedback and criticisms. You can use the examples you mention to argue that Ubisoft seems to have established a habit of not caring and that therefore you consider it highly likely or are convinced that Watch Dogs 2 will be another such case.
I would, however, point to what is known about Watch Dogs 2 and what was the main complaints I've heard about Watch Dogs 1, namely, the story, the main character and a supposed graphical downgrade:
Story: The story of the game seems much more tied to aspects of hacking culture such as hacktivism and even how technology is a double-edged sword that can do harm as well as good. Technology and hacking seem intrinsically tied to the story whereas in the first game, the story could be moved out of the heavily technological setting which very few changes to it, gameplay not withstanding.
The Protagonist: Marcus seems a much more likable and enjoyable character as does his crew each of whom seem to have a character of their own whereas Aiden did not seem to have much depth to him and his characterization did not seem to extend beyond character type which led to him frequently, in my opinion, being overshadowed by the supporting cast such as T-Bone who felt like he did have depth and whose story did feel closely tied to the heavily technological setting.
Graphics: I have a bad eye for these kinds of things, largely influenced by how I don't care about graphics for the most part unless they are phenomenally bad. I have not yet, however, heard about anything about a graphical downgrade being noticed with this game between E3 gameplay and, say, the demo.

You call it a proper rebuttal, I call it stating the bloody obvious. But hey. Whatever swings your Dalton, as I like to say. The problem with 'obvious' is that it is often a generalization. Ubisoft is a huge company, so any signs of improvement I see may be limited to specific franchises. The Division was not a success, I never finished it, I understand all the issues it has. Rainbow Six I haven't played. Far Cry Primal was the first game I played in that series, I thought it was fine. Assassin's Creed, however, remains an interesting series to me. After the rather episodic Assassin's Creed III, I found Black Flag a distinct improvement. Unity clearly had its issues, but as I got my hands on it some months after launch, my issues were more with the plot (mainly ending). I found Syndicate to be a significant improvement and an enjoyable game that picked up on past ctiticisms. Yes, there is a fomula (opening 300 crates, etc). That Ubisoft are taking their time with the Egyptian entry sounds to me to be a good sign. Sure, it might be all about shareholder value, the kicking they got after Unity and the Division and takeover threats, but whatever the reason, quality is good. Yep, Ubisoft have a checkered history, but I've had fun with many of their games and I'm looking forward to having fun with WD2. Do I expect it to be my game of the year? I was about to say, 'no'. But actually it could be (or Dishonored 2), because 2016 has been light for me, Fallout 4 was my last big binge.

I like the idea that your 'interface' with the game is through your in-game phone. The RPG 'journal' of old was just that, an on-screen approximation of a written journal. More contemporary games would have a map or quest log outside of the game world, but to have it all on your in-game phone, 'quests app' and 'nudle maps' I find rather clever.

Didn't play the first game (still might pick it up in the future since I kinda want to play it before playing WD2), though WD2 looks interesting and very colorful compared to the first WD. Quite tempted to pre-order only for the zodiac most-likely 1-hour long DLC mission. I don't like preordering but I want that mission lol.
