Did the army shown in the demo look like it was speaking Russian? Women took part in WW2 on the British side. Fact. I don't think on the front lines though. |

Ok, but then that game doesn't do a lot well either. It makes time pass really quickly. Poker makes you lose money really quickly. It's like each card game has its own speciality. Solitaire's a luck based game which is fairly solid all round that doesn't require 2 people to play. Dunno what criticisms you'd have of it, TBH : S no story.  |

What it looks like to me is that an overall good game will neutralise the realism criticisms. I'm not interested in Battlefield 5 but that's just the vibe I'm getting, could be wrong though |

The biggest fact here is these games have never been 100% historically accurate. You’re playing the wrong franchise if that’s what you want. I had no intention in playing Battlefield 5 even before it was announced and if I was interested in playing it I doubt that not being historically accurate would be the thing that turns me off the game, however the argument at the moment is about historical accuracy and the plain truth is that featuring a story about a woman fighting on the front lines in any country other than Russia (especially a woman with a prosthetic limb) is not historically accurate and in no way representative of what happened during WW2. You can argue that the series has never truly been historically accurate which I suppose to some degree is true however it wasn't what we were initially taking about and trying to move the goalposts does not make your previous arguments any less accurate or disingenous. |

It still would’ve gotten the same accolades. It’s a good game. Then Andromeda would never have gotten accolades under any circumstances because it's just that bad. Like I said you can't make the argument Darrah is making without applying the same theory to Inquisition. Either the tough release schedule didn't affect Andromeda at all and it was just that bad (and the easy schedule didn't affect Inquisition), or the release schedule affected Andromeda negatively and Inquisition positively. Take your pick, you can't mix and match *shrugs* Andromeda was weighted down with a lot of controversies. If it would have got an award, people would have called it fake news. |
