Bonus points if you're willing to list what you think the games biggest positives and negatives are.
I know a lot of people dont like to speculate review scores for games, but theres nothing wrong with having some fun with predicting the future. Personally, I'm expecting the game to review pretty well; probably 90-95 metacritic after a month or two. I'm not going to make distinctions between critic reviews and user reviews.
Overall, I think the biggest positives will be the aesthetic design and scale of the game. The story COULD be another selling point, but that I'm not so sure of. That said, I think the Lifepath story additions could also be seen as another huge positive.
In terms of negatives, I anticipate much of these will be related to bugs/glitches within the game. The biggest of these technical problems will probably be poor performance on last gen consoles; notably the base Xbox One. Another could be the lack of feedback when it comes to driving and shooting. The player hand doesnt seem to register alot of visual recoil, so maybe that might take some people out of the game. From certain other players, probably the lack of 3rd person options.

I'm expecting a really polarizing game, so I'm going to guess it will get a ~80 score. Probably even lower with all the haters having one more month to plan their review bombing of the game.
Negatives: - bugs/glitches and base xbox/ps4 performance - dialogues (people are complaining about it every time a new trailer release already) - lack of 3rd person - poor combat and not enough combat (from all those people expecting a full on shooter) - Silverhand being annoying
Positives - ambience/atmosphere of Night City - story - customization

I've only seen the full breakdown trailer that was released roughly a week or so ago. I think the general premise just seems to be getting the Johnny Silverhand persona out of your head isn't it (as the main quest)? I wonder how well they'll be able to keep it interesting. I'm sure there will be side plots along the way.

Something like that. He also has inputs in side quests.
It's also the 3rd such plot in a row I'm going to be playing after Baldur's gate 3 (tadpole) and next one is a spoiler as the game doesn't present it that way until the ending
My guess is it'll do fine but not quite as well as TW3. Nothing ever lives up to the hype and lightning rarely strikes twice. A lot of people's expectations are quite off—shooter fans and GTA players and folks who aren't into RPGs who are already bristling at the prospect of "too much dialogue"—and it'll probably be fairly buggy at release.
On the story front, there's already some animosity towards the "edgy" writing. Even if one thinks TW3 was great writing, CDPR's ability to do fantasy Poland doesn't necessarily translate into a similar ease with sci fi California. I fully expect Keanu Reeves to get in the nerves of anyone who isn't already fond of the guy.

I think a lot of reviews are based on the eyecandy ( mostly due to raytracing ) and believing in the hype built up around the game.
From what I could gather from the moderate reviews is that the game is just missing that new, refreshing ( revolutionary even ? ) element in gameplay.
Anyone here who wonders about any potential toxic backlash by gamers whose rose-coloured glasses were shattered because it did not live up to the/their hype ?
Personally I don't let bugs and glitches ( even gamebreaking ones ) influence my review of a game. The RP experience is supposedly very immersive and that is already the biggest pro for me.
Pompey: He sits alone in Ravenna with one mutinous skeleton of a legion and he dares to dictate terms to me!?. Mark Antony : Caesar has many more legions than the Thirteenth. Scipio: Yes, on the far side of the Alps. Mark Antony: Winter does not last forever. Spring comes. Snows melt. Scipio: That is a threat! Mark Antony : No, I assure you, that is no threat. Snows always melt.

I tend to not let bugs get me down as well... to a degree. If mission progress is being stifled because of said bugs, or a major story sequence is made less due to NPC shenanigans, or the game just becomes unstable at times, then I think that would spur my playtime (especially if it's my first go). Most reviews I've seen so far have said that the content that is there is good (great at times even), but I have to wonder if those great times should also predicate the game getting 10 out of 10's when said reviews point out the glaring bug problems. I've played my fair share of games I would have given a 6 or a 7. Some of which I still enjoyed.
As for those expecting more out of the title, it seems like theyll still get their money's worth. In terms of the content that's available, it's solid. It's just a matter of how many performances issues you want to put with before getting the game. Do you want it now? Okay, but expect some jank.

So from what I can tell, this might be the buggiest game release of all time. I can feel The Todd's jealousy.
Buggier than FO76? I find that exceptionally hard to believe.
Pre-patch it probably was buggier. It the leaked video I've seen didn't just felt like bugs/glitches. It felt like an unfinished game, where models fails to load and things don't always trigger.
I've seen plenty of Twitter posts @cdred over the night about Jackie not spawning in to trigger main quest advancement, and I've heard a few other quests being like that as well where people can't progress the main story. I only put in one hour yesterday so I know I've barely touched the game yet, but if I've seen something consistently brought up negatively towards the game it's that the bugs seem pretty bad and quite numerous. I figured it'd have bugs because tbh CDRED makes buggy games, but this game? All them years and 3 delays? They would've been better off waiting another half a year it seems cause this will hurt it's reception some regardless how good the rest of the game is.
Besides the bugs, performance issue seems to be the next big issue, I've seen some PS4/XB1 vids where the environment is like 2005 visuals 😬. I feel like it's an optimization issue big time. I hope I don't run into that because so far I've loved the looks of the game, it's seriously one of the best looking games I have ever seen to date.

I can’t speak for the base PS4, but so far it’s looked better than most games I’ve played on the Pro. I assume what I’m playing has the patch so I haven’t run into any serious snags yet. Only annoying thing to happen so far was a delay in being able to execute a hack on a door.

Lol, I’ve seen that. They must’ve fixed at least that much. Other than some clipping I haven’t come across anything major. Again, I don’t envy base PS4 or XBox users.
The bugs of course don't help, but substance wise there really is not much in there so far. Still early, but it seems like what I was worried about is basically coming true.
I find it kind of ironic that after all the controversy around a couple critic reviews being relatively low, this is shaping up to be CDPR's worst rated game by users in both Steam and GOG. Hearing about all the problems on console, Metacritic will probably be even worse.
Still at the shallow end of the pool of this game, but overall I’m starting to think I’ll be enjoying this more than I did TW3 (which I haven’t finished). I guess mileages vary, but I had difficulty investing in that game, due in part to the protagonist, which I was never particularly fond of. In any case, I actually like the combat. My Destiny PvP habits kind of show themselves here, sliding around to get a mook in the back. I was afraid I’d hate the driving, but I love it. I stick to first person since that’s how I roll in Gran Turismo. It makes it a bit harder to judge space, but I like a challenge.

Bruh! Destiny PvP has absolutely rewired my brain around playing fps games. I was playing Fallout 4 yesterday, and in one of the enemy encounters I was in my mind reflexively tried to sprint and slide with the Combat shotgun lol.
A few quirky objects floating in the world aside, it's running pretty well on Series X.
I would shudder to try it on a base console.
The almost fanatical hype-fest on the internet appears to be over.

I doubt it. Not even recurring transphobic comments on their social networks and almost a year of crunching their developers was enough for the "CDPR wives" to open their eyes. Bet they will just find more ways to excuse to sorry state of the game (specially on consoles) on release and CDPR hidding it.
I've been watching a few streams and I have to say it is actually quite entertaining but for all the wrong reasons The AI in particular is very noticeably bad...I feel so bad for the devs who have to work on this hereafter. I imagine the code must be a mess as it is.
I just finished the tutorial and the 1.04 patch seems to have fixed a lot of the bugs. I can now play for as long as I want without crashing.
The way side missions are implement really reminds me of the Witcher 3. Some are a bit too difficult for my current level.
I'm not gonna give it any score because I have barely scratched the surface and I'm also not qualified to do such thing, but I can definitely recommend trying it out as long as you have a PS5, Series X, or a relatively powerful PC. Personally, I'm having a great time playing this game on my RTX 3090. It is such a gorgeous game.
