You do realize that if Vivienne were a romance option, she would wear the pants in the relationship?
Announcer: All hail Lady Vivienne, Imperial Court Magical Advisor, First Enchanter of the White Spire, crusher of the rebel mages, and Hero of Thedas!
Vivenne: Greeting my followers. We have won many great victories, but we are still needed. With your devotion and hard work, I will lead the Inquisition to even greater heights-
N7: But, I'm the Inquisitor-
Vivienne: Shush darling, the grown ups are speaking. Just stand and look pretty, it's what you're best at.
N7: (shrinks)... yes dear...
Where are you going with this? Probaly that having Vivienne as a romance isn't a good idea..

I respect her as a strong character, even if I disagree completely with her views. I really liked that if you're pro free mages she unabashedly tells you she'll do everything in her power to prevent your changes. I admire her for that and I even helped her with the Duke. I believe she's just a very strong woman scared to lose her power. Of course, if in future games I can eliminate the circles she reinstated, she'll go down with them

Truth be told I am surprised by some who like her, but I suppose the same could be said of why I don’t like her.
I have played numerous games over the years and I will say Vivienne is by far the worst and most hated character I have ever encountered – so far. Don’t get me wrong she was a well written character to gain such an accolade.
Wish I could stuff Vivienne in a Hefty bag, with some rocks, tie it and chuck her into “Bunny” lake.

I was pretty mad at her for messing with my furniture.
But, I won't argue against her being an intriguing and well written character.

She's not least you know, planning to blow things up or plotting to destroy the world (like some people whom are plotting to do so...) .. It makes her a lesser evil in my eyes currently - as Leliana watches over her... In my sort of allied Templars canon i have... eheheh. Eh, my canon made someone tranquil just for info, lol.

From what she fear? From herself. And why? Because she lived in the Circle, and the Circles are toxic. They destroy the personality of mages and also templars. She is not really strong. She wounded. So much. Why she cold? Well, that's why. Because of she born as mage, and lived in the Circle, and accept, that she is a monster. But tried not show, what she feel. Vivienne one of the best examples, why the Circle system is wrong (all people psychically damaged, who live a long time in such a place like the Circle, quite hard to imagine, that anyone would survive that, and still totally sane...). My opinion. And why she have that terrible manners, and why she likes the game and politic so much? Because there are people, who have terrible manners and likes this things. This is the reason why should not Vivienne become Divine. A psychologically damaged, but arrogant, manipulative person really dangerous, if have political power. This scene prove this theory (just try to imagine, that this womonster got bigger political power...): Hmmm I just now wached this:
(I never let her kill this man, but I was convinced: finally she let him go, but she simply a sociopath – maybe blame the Circle-system...)

And don't forget she set that whole "marquis thing" up just so she can get back at him (shakes head) and no doubt to make a scene with the Herald.
I don't entirely blame the Circle for how Vivienne is. When she live at the Ostwick Circle I'm sure bits of her current personality came through. However once she was transferred to Montsimmard all bets were off. Vivienne realized she could use and manipulate people to suit her own needs. Thus she became a complete and total bitch.
I loath this woman so much because she does just that: uses people to suit her own ends. Its like she sees everyone as pawns in her game to grab more and more power. People like that are far more dangerous then someone blowing up a Chantry. (IMO of course).

Where's Solas? He's trying to kill everyone in Thedas. I'm fairly certain Vivienne is lesser evil compared to him (who also lies.. BUT IT'S HE'S ALWAYS LYING!)

Where's Solas? He's trying to kill everyone in Thedas. I'm fairly certain Vivienne is lesser evil compared to him (who also lies.. BUT IT'S HE'S ALWAYS LYING!) There are different kinds and levels of evil; not all are direct.
With Solas his kind of evil is one that you know of his plan.
Whereas with Vivienne her evil is one in which she uses and manipulates people.
When you know what a person is planning at least you know it’s coming. Whereas with someone who does not reveal their plans, they are far more dangerous.
Lies don’t make a person evil. If that was the case no one would lie. The actions you do far outweigh any lie.
If I was still playing D and D, I’d categorize Vivienne as Neutral Evil and Solas as Chaotic Evil.

He plays another kind of game, one of which makes the whole of Orlias look like childsplay in comparison. I mean, Vivienne is bad, but not nearly bad enough.

On my 2nd playtrough I didn't know if recruit her or no. The only logical reason is not to lose game's content But yeah, she needs more background.

I don't feel in the mood to get the Prince Consort to attempt to kill me. Although, as an Alistair romance, I must say, i own Morrigan a debt for saving my Warden's life so... No..

I like Viv, but I hate her stance on mages. Itts all good and well her being in favour of of sticking mages in circles while she is the consort of a noble living in a manse with servants going feast and balls ect...

Then what do you likes in her? I thought her character was well written and her voice actor Indira Varma plays her wonderfully. As to Viv herself I loved the fact that she was confident, ballsy. I might not always agree with her stance on mages but the way she argues her points made me step back and think. Plus the first scene when the PC meets her is one of my favorites

Vivienne arrogant, gimmicky, and shows that she want to be important. I feel, the Inquisitor's goal to prevent this...
