I'm using an older version of Origin "10.5.119.52718 - 773614" (installed via the official offline installer), with updates disabled as per the instructions from the web (by editing a config file), and with version.dll added to the Origins folder. Works like charm, full functionality. I've been getting the white page "Use EA App", but version.dll fixed it.
BTW, I have just discovered that Origin granted me all DLC for ME 3 and ME 2, which I did not buy (I only had the barebone edition). The DLC for MEA, too.

Yeah, looks like Ody-N7S took it on as a mission to get this latest problem addressed via answers.ea. And after ~a couple weeks, someone looked at it and fixed it. From my understanding, this basically takes ME3 MP to back where it was a month+ ago (old accounts can once again use the meager EA App invite system, but the post-2018 accounts that have always had the problems continue to do so]. Also apparently not fixed yet for MEA MP? [Edit: oh, MEA invites are fixed per link in andy_3_913 's post] The amazing thing is they kept asking for error logs and such when it affected anyone who tried to invite. Like all they had to do was use a public account and try an invite and they'd see the problem. |

I don't remember what was that but something compelled me to start using EAA after all. I can join up by searching with the people I play with so not complaining loud for the moment.

Yep, what he said above. Origin magic just fine even for me, and I'm no computer wizard, just followed those instructions Andy linked and whatever measures came up in this thread earlier (I think I had to do some combo of those to get it working).

Folks I've been playing with made me install the Diamond Difficulty mod, game began to crash, repairing through EAA caused all the texts to be replaced with numbers, reinstalling made it crash on opening MP. Back to Origin, can't believe how much I lacked the "join" button.

FYI, EA is claiming some progress made on the Join/Invite failure issue. I haven't tested, nor know if this is just a EA App fix for pre-2018 accounts or an all accounts (the newer issue which affected many post-2018 accounts, including on Origin). See this EA Answers post |

The community manager response is odd. To be fair, maybe there's a past-present tense misuse in there as he's been well aware of this thread. But still, it seems like the main issues have NOT been fixed. (I haven't been playing for a while, and when I did, it was on a post-2018 alt which has all the problems that come with that).
