How does it run for you. steam reviews said the game crush, if they opend it. I would like to know if someone else have that problem? Do you mean crash? I had one crash in the 6.5 hours I played yesterday, which may have been cause by MSI Afterburner or Steam overlays (according to Google and my prior experience). There are some on the BW Discord having crashes more frequently. I am having a different bug, but it didn't prevent me from playing. Performance has otherwise been good for me. I have a 2070 Super/3600x and was getting mainly around 60fps (50 to 70 most of the time) at 1440p on high settings, though with raytracing turned off.

Got the game going again. Finally. Drivers up to date. Removed Process Lasso utility. Playing at 1600 x 900 resolution. Will start cranking feature up one at a time... right now, I want to play a little.

Stupid question, but is there an in-game FPS counter?
My crappy rig seems to be actually handling the game, for now. Not quite sure how well, but I haven't noticed anything besides the fans making more noise than usual. (My previous rig self-destructed trying to run DAI, FWIW)

That's a good question I have wondered myself. And one thing that I have discovered is that I can't take Screenshots with the EA App like I am used to doing with Steam. Steam you just hit F-12. But there is no such option with the EA App, it doesn't even let you. And I have wanted to take so many screenshots, especially of cutscenes....But Noooo, EA won't let you. For anyone who is playing on the EA App (and owns an Nvidia GPU) you can use the Girlfriend Experience to make lasting memories

thanks githcheater and saandrig , that was very helpful My graphics card is only a 2070 super but hopefully it'll do okay. I had thought they mentioned 2070 for recommended a while back so didn't do any upgrading because I was hoping to get another year out of this one. Such is life Yeah I though tI'd be OK running OK as I have a 2070 but then my CPU is only qan i7. So I suspec tm yCPU is bottlenecking me which is what's causin gm yissues with the game. I'll be sa dt osee Windows 10 go as it's a decent OS despite the limited control end users have on it.

In some cases, probably people who didn't read the notice on the requirement page about Win11 and AMD which requires a bios update. I think AMD only has a beta driver for the game too. In others, like me, it's more complex. I'm actually playing on Linux and after testing and reading other people's success: RTX and strand hair has to be off for now. I'm running the rest of the feature on High/Ultra with no issues now. The game run way smoother than Horizon Forbidden West. My hair just aren't as pretty as they could be. I expect these to be fixed eventually too, either via proton and/or driver update.

I'm running it on a 2070 Super at 1440p and it's doing fine. At first I was running on default high settings and getting mostly between 50 and 70 fps. Then earlier today, I started spending more time in a certain forest, and saw my framerate drop below 30. Switching some settings to medium (two texture settings and ground decorations) fixed it, and it still looks good. All that said, if I can gather up the funds for a GPU upgrade, I'm really tempted to do it. This is such a beautiful game that I want to see the settings ALL cranked up.

The Verifying Shaders thing is a bit annoying. It is. Thankfully it had been taking less than 20 seconds (apart from the very first time), but since I had so much headroom, I played with e Nvidia control panel and it ran it - almost - from the start again. Not 5 minutes, but much, much longer than it had been taking.

Bug found: What my Rook is supposed to look like: What she sometimes looks like when a save is loaded: That face is her base preset from the CC, but with no hair. It resets back to proper customized face with a reload, but it seems random how many reloads it takes. Sometimes its once, sometimes its 3. Other way to fix it so far seems to be using the mirror of transformation in-game, when the proper customization shows there. It usually does, and then all I have to do is finalize and accept it. It has shown the wrong face in the mirror before, though, so this isn't foolproof. And, of course, the mirror doesn't matter if this is happening mid-mission.

Just passing through again to say if anyone has performance issues on lower end PCs, disabling Bloom took me from 'aw man should I buy a new graphics card, it's *playable* but jank' to 'yeehaw no lagging let's goo' so props to whoever tested PCs because I'm very pleasantly surprised. Good luck to everyone else, back to Treviso I go!

Few Bugs I've encountered: Lots of texture pop in and very short lod range, npcs will be rendering while moving around. Also textures pop in and out during conversations, noticeable on skin and clothing Color 3 on face paint for me is bugged with a gold shader when up close, can't get rid of it no matter what I try Sometimes game will start flickering like crazy and lag bad, requires game restart to fix

Apparently I've played for 11 hours, which I guess makes sense because yesterday and Friday I had some three to four hours of playing time each day, plus the two that I put in on THursday when it released. But it really doesn't feel like 11 hours. I guess because I'm not really that far intot he game it feels like I've only done two or three hours.
Nonetheless, I am really enjoying the game.going to play more today at some point.

I thought I'd share some benchmark results from before and after upgrading my PC, in case anyone has similar specs to me! Benchmark is taken from the first 10 minutes of the game.
Low preset graphics, 1080p, 60 Hz monitor:
Before PC upgrade: i7-4790k at 4.4 GHz (stock turbo), GTX 970 Average FPS: 37.6 Minimum FPS: 25.8
After PC upgrade: i7-4790k at 4.6 GHz (overclocked), GTX 1080 Ti Average FPS: 54.5 Minimum FPS: 33.2
Pretty nice improvement for the average FPS!

Finally hit my first frame rate drop...
Entering the Cobbled Swan (in Minrathous) to meet with someone. Just walking, no combat. Bit weird. Happily I had the performance logs on for Nvidia and there was no spike in GPU or CPU use, so I guess it's down to the way that area is decompressed in engine??

I'm running things on the low end and turning off ambient occlusion massively improved my performance. I went from screen stutters to smooth in Treviso.
And the game still looks great! I have medium texture quality, medium lighting, high volumetric lighting, and ultra skybox. It's all very pretty.
Haven't tried it in Minrathous, yet, but I'm hopeful.
The character bug I posted is still happening, though.

Don't know if anybody else is experiencing this but holy cow the Grand Necropolis is buggy for me. I get horrible graphical glitches after a few minutes in the zone. First ill get a horizontal black line across the screen when panning the camera. Then after a few more minutes the whole area starts flickering and flashing the textures. Then lags like mad and the game will require a restart. I loaded into another zone when it glitches and the other areas are fine.
I checked hardware temps and nothing is going crazy, and it doesn't happen anywhere else. So def must be something in that zone.
