As many times as I've completed the suicide mission, I've had a few results that didn't make sense. For example, I had Taylor, Krios and another squadmate as the only ones holding the line. Krios died which should not have happened. When I repeated the mission, instead of Krios dying, it was Taylor. Outside of that and a couple other times, the result I wanted worked out. If I can tell it, at least some explanation and what is more important - examples. Wanted to check others in the same way as "dead-Tali" in different situations - seems no point in that considering the outcome could still be unpredictable. Only make certain saves with certain decisions. Thank you, themikefest.

Hello. I wanna kill off Samara, Kasumi, Jack and Zaeed during the suicide mission. What's the best way to do it without making Shepard seem like an idiot. Jack's already loyal so I suppose I could avoid getting ship armour but what about the other ones?

Jack's already loyal so I suppose I could avoid getting ship armour but what about the other ones? Is everyone recruited? How many are loyal? I will assume all have been recruited. I agree about Jack since that is the easiest. Assuming Samara and Kasumi are not loyal, bring both to fight the proto reaper. Both will die. Have Zaeed be the second fireteam leader. He will die loyal or not. If Samara and Kasumi are loyal, I would not get shields for the SR2. DO NOT take Kasumi to fight the oculus in the hangar. She will be killed. If Samara is loyal, and all other squadmates are recruited, she will likely survive. If she were assigned to be 2nd fireteam leader she will die. If Zaeed isn't loyal, he will die when facing the proto reaper.

Zaeeds not loyal so I'll probably take him with me to the proto reaper. As for Samara, maybe I could let Miranda do the biotic bubble and have Samara taken by the swarm. Is it the second squadmate that gets taken?

As for Samara, maybe I could let Miranda do the biotic bubble and have Samara taken by the swarm. Won't that also kill Miranda? Only Samara/Morinth or Jack can successfully hold the barrier in place. You didn't mention wanting Miranda dead, which is why I'm mentioning it. Throw Jacob on the barrier. I'd say vents but you want Kasumi there to die.

By doing that, you can take Kasumi and Zaeed to fight 3 -eyes leading to both dying. Or have someone else maintain the barrier with Lawson and Samara as the squadmates. Miranda will never be taken by the swarm. It will be Samara. It's up to you how you want to do it. As for Samara, maybe I could let Miranda do the biotic bubble and have Samara taken by the swarm. I'm playing the trilogy for the first time in 7 years, and I had totally forgotten about the quest countdown after the IFF quest. So now I find myself facing the suicide mission without having done the loyalty missions for Mordin, Grunt and Kasumi. Do all non-loyal companions die? I've read several guides that hint that all companions need to be loyal, but I just want a firm confirmation before I reload the save from several gameplay hours ago. TIA.

If the rest of the squad is loyal, those three should survive depending on what you do. Here's one scenario. If all the others are loyal, I would have Garrus/Miranda/Jacob be fireteam leader both times. Send Legion/Tali through the vent. Have Tali escort the crew back to the ship. Have Jack/Samara do the barrier. Take Jack and Miranda to the fight the proto-reaper. The rest can hold the line with enough to have the three, the ones not loyal, survive. The total points you have will be 19. All should survive holding the line.
