 Okay, I'm afraid to admit that I don't have any grand revelations regarding good ol' dad with which to kick off this thread--I came here to post an amusing anecdote/coincidence regarding Clancy Brown, but found no appropriate pre-existing thread to use... So, I guess this'll have to do! First, watch this clip from the latest episode of Star Wars: Rebels (I set it to start at the appropriate bit, so you won't be waiting long): ... Yup. They certainly weren't kidding when they described Alec as a 'seasoned galactic explorer'--apparently Andromeda isn't even the first galaxy far, far away dad's visited! Indeed, I'd go so far as to say that, if there's any one fucked up face in what we've seen of Andromeda so far, it's dad's grizzled visage. Doesn't help that, to me at least, his beard looks more like one of those fuzzy filters they put on people's faces in cop shows than, y'know, actual facial hair... |

Thanks, I will never be able to unsee that. Been bugging me since we first saw him, so enjoy. Honestly, I'm more worried about what it might mean for the player's facial hair options than anything else. I mean, I don't often play male characters in games that give me the choice, but I know that doesn't go for everyone--and besides, I'm willing to bet there'll be at least one romance option I end up rolling a BroRyder for eventually, like Tali in the OT. (Still planning on making a male Inquisitor at some point so I can see Cass' romance stuff.) |

Right now we don't know if they weren't recruited after their duty ended. After all ex-Alliance would be a more desirable choice over some Blue Suns thug. But if they were actually transferred from Alliance then it's the hell of a "private" project. |

The dad stubble is awesome. That's all I gotta say. Hey, I have no problem with the idea of stubble, but dad's fuzzy weirdness just looks kiiiinda off to me. I suppose what I'm saying is that I need my 4K, UHD, HDR, Next-Gen NVIDIA StubbleWorks to be truly satisfied. Sure, I could see that happening. But I'm wondering how much control Jien Garson really had over her project. Once the Alliance got involved, I doubt she would have been able to maintain autonomous control over the project. I never read The Masked Empire so I was missing some major context between the characters relationships in that quest. I enjoyed it but probably not as much as I could have. Now I did read the first ME novel featuring Anderson and I understood his relationship with Saren much more. Perhaps that is what Bioware is hoping for by releasing the novels in later 2017. They can spur additional playthroughs featuring different decisions since we will understand the background a bit more. I completely agree with you regarding Sloane's motivation's. However, if the word "Cerberus" is even mentioned I will throw my book in the fireplace... |

Y'know, I was THIS close to kinkshaming all of you when I first saw this thread, then I realized, "Oh, characters AND romance, right." Seriously, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what they do with this character. Clancy Brown is an incredible actor, so I hope they give him some really good stuff to play with. Also...while I know it's almost impossible to work out in game, right now I'm kind of headcanoning that Alec Ryder actually meets Shepard at some point in his/her N7 training. |
