Seriously, the Elcor would be absolutely terrifying in-universe if provoked. A species that has evolved on a planet with five times Earth's gravity can wreck face if they wanted to.
Heck, they could easily leap 20 feet into the air if they wanted, seeing as how all of their bones and muscles are conditioned for an environment five times more dense than any other known species of the setting.

You should add all of the species to the poll.

I applied absolutely no logic or fan service to this and just went with my bottom three. I axed Drell and Asari because I really just don't care for either (sorry, TMB and Deerber, just not a Drell girl ). The third ended up Salarian, not because I don't like them, but because: 1. I will never axe Turians 2. I will never axe Krogan 3. I will never axe Geth 4. For some reason, the Quarians amuse me

Going by my personal experience of playing ME if they ever axed Croguns or Quarians it just wouldn't be Mass Effect anymore.
I still remember meeting Wrex for the first time in ME1 and being in awe that I was experiencing something completely fresh and new. I had never seen a character like him before. And ever since then I loved Croguns.
Tali was similar as I got to know her. A space nomad? Completely an original and fresh take on aliens. I loved it.

Axe quarians because for the race that built probably the best non reaper ai they're fairly stupid to not try and stick to the peace route.
Salarians for being the cliche bug eye amphibious aliens
Drell for just being meh...

Well...
If we are talking about which races shouldn't be present on Andromeda, they'd be Drell, Quarians and Geth.
However, if we are talking about which races we won't be getting as squadmates then my choices are Drell, Geth and Turians.
Before someone shots me with a sniper rifle, I'd like to say that Garrus and Nyreen are awesome but it's exactly because they raised the bar so high that another Turian squad member should be left out of the equation.
Garrus and Nyreen are rebels, they are pretty much outcasts with awesome personalities while your average turian is a regulation addict unhelpful asshole. I'd rather focus on rebel characters from other species than copy paste Garrus or Nyreen into a new game.
We need a Quarian who isn't a flotilla sucker and isn't complaining 90% of the time about a homeworld or synthetics, we need a Salarian who wants a more hands-down approach rather than throwing untested mad science at every problem and we need an Asari who isn't a nerd trying to get into our pants or an insufferable bitch who sees other species as a curiosity rather than equals.

Mr. Flynn said species that "pitched in" with this project, which I think is a human project, came to Andromeda. Now I guess it is which species would not "pitch in", if this happens before the reaper war in ME3. For certain not the batarians (not the numbers needed to sustain a healthy population), geth, rachni, or vorcha. If the hanar want to help they would bring their drell servants, so possible they may come along to do the hanar's heavy lifting. If the flotilla wanted to spare a few dozen quarians to help out it is possible they come along. The asari, krogan, and salarians are along for the trip.

Hmm, let's see. I don't care about the drell, so I'd axe them. Geth seem very much "of" the original trilogy to me, so they're gone too. Third is tricky. Reptilian space Romans stay. I'm not that into the Krogan, but they definitely offer something different than that other species, so they stay too. I'm a sucker for classics I guess, so keep the asari. Mass Effect would feel weird to me without them. I'm particularly fond of quarian, uh, culture... so I can't axe them. I guess that leaves salarians as number three.

I would have liked to have seen them do more with the Drell.
Would have been better to give them more depth or reveal there are different factions in existence. Perhaps Drell who reject the Compact and believe the only reason the Hanar saved them was to exploit their species? Or that Citadel explorers later found that some of the Drell on Rakhana managed to survive the environmental catastrophe by going underground, leaving them exceptionally bitter towards the Citadel species who left them to die.
What always bothered me in the original trilogy is that the writers never explained why only the Hanar sent ships to transport 375,000 Drell off their dying homeworld? Where exactly were the Turians, Asari or Salarians during all this and how did that go over in the galactic community, that the Council were content to sit back and let billions of individuals from an intelligent species die?

Sifr I don't think the Council is big on uplifting new species, especially after what happend with the Krogans. Once a species starts using relays I guess they got no choice but to introduce themselves, or like the Turians, hit them hard to show who's the boss. They were a non-spacefaring species. They we're probably situated in Hanar space, and the Hanar wern't that close with the council, they actually prefered to stick to themselves. The Hanar arn't that fond of visitors to their homeworld either. Which probably explains why they were the only species with an orbital defence system capable of giving the Reapers pause. The Hanar helped them because they figured they might be useful for work on Land, and tried to integrate a few of them into their society. We don't know how many were or are still alive on their dying/dead homeworld. It sounds like their old homeworld is now dead except for that research/pilgrimage post. Meaning they are fairly close to extinction compared to other species.

Where exactly were the Turians, Asari or Salarians during all this and how did that go over in the galactic community, that the Council were content to sit back and let billions of individuals from an intelligent species die? I know, right, and to a productive, allied and completely law abiding Citadel member state no less? As if that wasn't enough, they did everything they could to spitefully piss on their ancestors for 3 centuries as well, all the way up to endorsing slavery and ethnic cleansing. Oh not the rats....you mean the other intelligent species they were too busy ignoring in their ivory tower? Right, the frogs. Guess they all deserved to starve. Dummies shoulda uplifted a galactic scourge of battletoads or something to save themselves like a real species. Still, Council could've done worse. Either could have ended up like the rachni. I'd axe all the non human Council species. Better yet, kill off the asari (they're a quick breeding plague like the rachni, who are at least nice enough to only take dump planets noone wants). Kill 99.5% of the turians and force the rest to live in deep space, enslaving them if they come into yours. Then, put krogan on the salarian homeworld (seems only fair, it's their fault), watch the former eat everything and then force the latter into a dumb compact where they have to do boring science and mathshit for everyone else that we can't be bothered with. Seems only fair. Oh, and when the next big galactic menace comes, I want an air quoting amnesiac quarian, a comically racist krogan and a conniving, secret hoarding volus to first deny it exists, then pointlessly obstruct the people trying to fight it, only to deny it some more before finally deciding to do absolutely nothing about it.

For me it would be the Krogan.
We get it, you're a hyper aggressive species that likes to fight and butt heads. Can we please get some other aliens in here that we haven't seen yet, or other aliens from the previous games that we didn't get a chance to explore?
The (supposed) leaks about Andromeda and our Krogan companion don't leave me with much faith that we will be seeing anything new with the Krogan; just more concerns about their numbers and the fact that they like to hit/shoot things.

Unless someone tells me Matriarch Aethyta is coming along.

And I don't want to be railroaded in mindmelding with them again, tainting my character indefinitely. lol

And the Turians because I'm tired of the (supposedly) "honorable" trope. Ever heard of Saren and Warden Kuril? The latter was the main antagonist in Jack's recruitment mission and the former was only the best villain in the entire Mass Effect series. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and assume you haven't played the first two games.

Mr. Flynn visited this site and neogaf yesterday. On neogaf he reassured November-Januray we'd get a lot of new info. Now, there is a Shinobi poster who is thought to be a trustworthy insider, and to the following neogaf poster's question, which was "Is it too much to assume that all the trilogy races will make it into Andromeda?", he answered "yes". So not all make it, and I know on this site some may have held out hope that all would make it, but there it is, if Shinobi is truly trustworthy on MEA. And the Turians because I'm tired of the (supposedly) "honorable" trope. I think the turians' hat is discipline, not honor. I don't think I've seen them place an emphasis on honor and they do a number of things that would be considered dishonorable. I've seen them place an emphasis on discipline and following orders, however.
