EDIT: I thought you pointed out something else.
That's kinda lazy but it's nothing extraordinary. They also reused the Banshee screams for the Terror Demons in DA:I.
When it comes to animations specifically I'm kinda immune considering just how many ME1 animations has been used in every game for 10 years now.

I don't understand what I'm looking at here. "spell" animations? Its Challenge from DA:I i believe, and whatever Liam is doing. I don't really see the problem though.

Yea... I mean the DA and ME series have always shared animations in every iteration of both series. Since the beginning. Especially the casual conversation mannerisms of NPCs.

Unless the animation is bad, let them reuse it. Then they can spend the time and resources they saved on other parts of the game.

Someone who makes sense? Someone who doesn't think BioWare should make games that are as polished and beautifully realized as whatever Naughty Dog is doing? This can't be happening...oh! I forgot I'm not on NeoGAF right now. Like, literally. This is the entire reason we keep seeing the same animations over and over. The production scale of a BioWare game is about as huge as Uncharted, it just needs WAY more content for the budget available, so it makes every bit of sense to have slightly less impressive animations and reused assets/animations across games to leverage it. I really wish the majority of BW haters on GAF would just get this. That said, some of the features in Andromeda still smell like lazy or incompetence. Particularly the full-performance'd face animations for Sara Ryder... and honestly the procedural face animations too. It just looks off.

The animation looks fine, so I don't care.
Are you going to complain about the fact that all of the ragdoll physics look like they're straight out of the PS2 era Havok engine like every game with ragdoll physics has since the PS2 era? As long as the conversation and idle animations aren't the same three we've been seeing from KOTOR and as long as no one does that awkward "I'm gonna step forward, give you something, and then turn all the way around, walk a few steps, and then turn back to finish the conversation" thing, I won't care.

In the first video both arms go back. In the second the left arm is much further forward than the right (which is further back). Am I missing how this is the same animation?
