I could spill some spoilers about the siblings as well...so the plot would thicken. But I think this should be moved in the spoiler sub if possible. I really want to spill the beans.

You may want to put this and anything regarding the previews specifically under the "Mass Effect Andromeda: Spoilers" section instead of general discussion.

Let me guess: The Ryder that becomes Pathfinder goes on mission with Dad where stuff happens and this affects Ryder like when Shepard pulled Ashley/Kaidan away from the beacon too? Man, is this game going to be a self-referential The Force Awakens type game? If so, it's time I severely lower my expectations. The "back to roots" approach is usually where sequels, band albums, artist intent, stops being genuine and the whole thing starts to shallow out. I really hope this game isn't just going to reference ME1's plot at every turn.

So another episode in "humans most special in whole universe" saga lol? Many will not be happy That really is not what is going on here, or at least it shouldn't be. The shame of it is we will likely see a direct copy of ME 1s story where Shepard understood Prothean tech and stuff because they interacted with the beacon, and survived, on Eden Prime, not because they are human. So likely Ryder interacts with Remnant tech and that gives them the ability to interact with more Remnant tech. I suppose we will see how important this is to the game and if they can execute it well...but i am a little...skeptical.

Because its been done a lot in science fiction and even in Mass Effect before. And for some baffling reason some people think this means andromeda will make it a 'humanity is special' narrative.

Also "NOW I KNOW WHY YOU'RE SPECIAL" ... It couldn't go well. And people said I was being unreasonable when I pointed that out in the first reveal trailer and how human-centric the whole thing seemed.

I really hope this game isn't just going to reference ME1's plot at every turn. So Some Spoilers BELOW, it's main plot Spoilers !!!! From what I've read in the French preview , The main goal is to settle the humans as a pathfinder and dun dun dun....find your missing sibling. So I assume dadRyder went after his missing kid and that's why he left. And I bet the Khet took one of the twin.

And people said I was being unreasonable when I pointed that out in the first reveal trailer and how human-centric the whole thing seemed. Until its proven otherwise this does not make the story 'human centric' any more than if Ryder was really good at making Ham and Cheese sandwhiches. All this does is confirm why Archon is interested in Ryder in the first place. Not because they are 'human' but because they are Ryder. Either through accident, or just because they are Ryder. That's my read of the situation. And I feel I must point out that while this news does give me some pause for concern, that the last time BioWare did something like this...at least in Mass Effect...Saren was probably the best bad guy of the series.

Hm, nah. Not reading it lol. I don't think there's spoilers in knowing the plot-outline which in my opinion includes the plot (the goal), the protagonist agenda and the villain agenda as well as character outlines.
I'm not going to read about actual plot moments before playing the game.

Another thing from the Kett and Remnant from the level up spanish article: SPOILER [...] you find out a little about the main villain - an old race called Remnant, that seems to have the Kett at their service and leave you the biggest mistery in this saga: is there a maquiavelic purpose to this mission? [...]

The bigger concern for this, if you want to go beyond Mass Effect, is Corpheus in DA I had pretty similar motivations it sounds like to the Archon of ME A. However Cory really wasn't that personal of a threat whereas it sounds like the Archon could be, and there could be some other twist like...the Archon is trying to gain access to Remnant tech to save his people...or something.

And people said I was being unreasonable when I pointed that out in the first reveal trailer and how human-centric the whole thing seemed. Until its proven otherwise this does not make the story 'human centric' any more than if Ryder was really good at making Ham and Cheese sandwiches. I would say it's human-centric in the sense that our super special snowflake protagonist is going to be directly responsible to what happens to humanity in Andromeda, and that this special quality is going to draw humans into the limelight by proxy. Kind of like how Shepard was special, and then he/she also enabled humanity to attain galactic recognition and near superpower-level prestige despite only being present in interstellar affairs for less than thirty years. And I would like to see more a Saren-esque villain, though from what I have learned about the Archon I am getting more of a Coryepheus vibe than anything.

Saren was kind of like a Corypheus type villain, just better written. And I see your point now but I still kind of disagree with it. Still it shouldn't be a surprise that Mass Effect is, and remains a human story. Its one of the reasons why they aren't giving us the ability to play as other species. because it will be about humanity finding its place in the universe as anything else. Just like the OT, and even beyond.
