I've always wanted a dude Morrigan. Like a shameless, snarky, cynical blood mage. Blatantly sexualised like, I dunno being shredded and wearing sheer black fabric. He'd be mean to me but also love me right?

This game, I like it The guys! Gay human by day werewolf by night KISA type warrior. Hunky, ginger with freckles, hazel eyes and stubble. He has been fighting his curse with integrity (werewolves can control their anger in DAO, so no problem there) he would be a Knight in Sour Armour rather than Shining. With option to cure him or not. Lawful good. Bisexual male desire demon in physical form, mage. Hornes and a little of muscle included in this pack ( ) with african traits. Lustful and shady character. Chaotic neutral. Bisexual Avvar human warrior. Tallest guy you ever met, scars everywhere and beard. Teddy bear material. Chaotic good. Straight rogue dalish elf bard. Slim but in good shape, based on mixed race. Very stubborn and the guy can sing. Neutral Good. The girls! Gay human KISA warrior. Brienne of Tarth-like character, she's a kind and mature woman with a mission. Lawful good. Bisexual dwarf rogue: The one and only Lace Harding. This needs to happen!! Lawful good. Bisexual qunari mage: Ice queen Tal-Vashoth saarebas with trust issues. Tall, hornes, freaking beautiful qunari. Lawful Neutral. Straight city elf mage: Quirky, funny and crazy. Neutral Good. I would love an asian-like character as LI, but I don't even know if they exist in Thedas :/ PS. Just give me my gay werewolf KISA and I'm happy

Do you people really think the DA team would make the gay human warrior KISA a gay guy? I feel like they wouldn't have the balls, with the success of Alistair and Cullen and all that... I think he'd definitely be bisexual. ofc not but this is a dreamer thread no? Cocktor keep dreaming with us! This game, I like it The guys! Gay human by day werewolf by night KISA type warrior. Props for adding pictures. But reading about what you guys come up with makes me feel so much better after this fiasco with Andromeda. Totally! When I was writting that, I could totally see myself romancing those characters, I hope DA4 deliver with lgbtq content, I want a harem of gays only for me of every race and color Thread for dreamers peeps In most serious note, just give me a ginger werewolf Cullen 2.0 and I'm good.

He'd be mean to me but also love me right? I said earlier dude Morrigan was totally my dream. I want him to be kind of sleek and pretty, though. lol Like, toned, but not bulky. Honestly, I would be happy if we even got more women like Morrigan. She was the only female character I ever romanced. It seems like 90% of female love interests are either "stoic warrior lady" or "manic pixie". But I'm not that invested in female LIs, so whatever. lol

Premise:Set in the far reaches of Tevinter, you are captured along with other groups of people by Tevinter slavers. You make your escape, find a way to get by, and figure what's strange happenings are going around Tevinter now that you, for some reason, are a target for many of the magisters there. Something to do with dragons, Tevinter experiments, and qunari, and your player character holding some ability that ties this all in (I'm writing on the fly here!). --- PROLOGUE
The Runaway MageMale / Human / MageStarting Companion. (Female Romance Only)A Tevinter lower class mage accused of crimes he didn't commit. He wants to find out who attempted to frame him and why. He has been captured after his escape along with those who are to be sold into slavery. Strong willed, serious, and somewhat dour, since living in Tevinter made his outlook on life rather bleak. The Dalish Fury Female / Elven / RogueStarting Companion. (Male Romance Only) A Dalish archer bent on exacting revenge on the Tevinter Imperium for murdering many from her clan. She's been captured along with the remaining Dalish to be sold into slavery. She's hard to befriend as she's very aloof and distant, preferring to be alone. The Crown of Thorns Male / Qunari / WarriorStarting Companion. (Male/Female Romance Only)A gentle and soft-spoken Qunari who wanders the Free Marches with a desire to live a simple life as a free man. After a close brush with the Tevinter slavers, and witnessing a glimpse of those captured, he sets out to break them free, thus dragging himself into an adventure he did not want. But he seemingly knows his way around and leads your group for a while. --- ACT 1The Dragon Lady Female / Dwarven / RogueFound in the Free Marches (Male/Female Romance)An intelligent surface dwarf quickly making a name for herself as a dragon hunter. She's part of a faction that deals with dragon hunting, and she takes you and your friends in as recruits. Tevinter mages and soldiers are interested in her company's services, which she is suspicious of and ultimately refuses. This does not bode well later on. The Avaar Gladiatrix Female / Human / WarriorFound in the Tevinter Imperium (Female Romance Only) An Avaar Gladiatrix who escaped the Tevinter Imperium colosseums. After having broken out, she wishes to rescue the rest of her brethren trapped in its confines. Luckily, she wasn't there too long when you cross paths. She's cheerful, loud-mouthed, and foolhardy, and has a dark sense of humour. The Circle Spitfire Male / Elven / MageFound in Antiva (Male Romance Only)An angry mage who has seen his brethren butchered by senseless violence after the Circles disintegrated and the Breach tore open the Veil. Tevinter slavers seem interested in him for his unusual link with dragons and tapping into their magic, somehow. Despite his bad temper, he has a clear tenor voice befitting for a romantic lead in an opera, and is a talented singer. --- END ACT 1
--- ACT 2The Penitent Knight Male / Human / Warrior Gained during the second act as the final companion. (Male/Female Romance)An antagonistic knight who is part of a syndicate opposing yours and your growing numbers. He sees that you and your newfound abilities would bring ruin and the first act comprises of a series of encounters where he tries to stop your objectives. Sooner he later realises that his crowd isn't so morally inclined as he was led to believe (those damn Tevinters pulling at the puppet strings), and he goes into a tailspin. He seeks to make amends, and a refusal of alliance would have him out of the picture, until he pops up later in the story when it requires his appearance. All right, that's it for me.

Okay, I did a list:
(Bi) Nevarran Dragon Hunter (Warrior) - This is basically male Cassandra, in my mind. Maybe a bit less awkward. He comes across serious and focused on his work, but he has a softer, romantic side. Extremely devoted in a romance. Promise of no stories of dead exes. Ruggedly handsome.
(Bi) Fog Warrior (Rogue) - As described by Fenris, the Fog Warriors are free with their emotions and affections. He can be a fling, but pushing forward can also develop something deeper. He believes in doing whatever is necessary to protect his people and drive out both the Qunari and Tevinter from his homeland, which can make his methods questionable to some. Passion defines his personality and your relationship.
(Gay) Elven Laetan (Mage) - A ruthless blood mage with his sights set on climbing the social ladder, despite being born a mage slave. He joins you thinking you're his ticket to recognition as your reputation starts to grow. At first he may come across as sensual, but cold, maybe even using his closeness with you for favors to get ahead. He'll be surprised if you do things for him without ulterior motives, as his experience is everyone has an angle. Over time his love for you becomes stronger than his ambition. His relationship is about learning there are more important things than power.
(Straight) Tevinter Templar (Warrior) - He's very different than the Templars we've seen so far. He knows the power of the Templars is limited in Tevinter, so he plays an angle, acting as a contact and informant for certain important mages. He's corrupt, but not more so than anyone has to be to get by in Tevinter. You can help make him a better man.. or not. He's morally flexible, but devoted to you and supportive of your goals.
(Bi) Scout Harding (Rogue) - Returning party member from Inquisition, she's your contact to the remaining Inquistion forces. Bubbly and somewhat excitable, but very capable. She would be very devoted and supportive during a relationship.
(Bi) Antivan Crow (Rogue) - Sexy and manipulative, she's calculating and morally flexible. She was sent to spy on you, but in either a romance or friendship path she'll become attached to you and realize her life with you and the connection you share is worth betraying the crows and her employer for. Her relationship starts out as lust, but she becomes very devoted to you by the end.
(Lesbian) Tal-Vashoth Merc (Warrior) - Unlike Sten and Iron Bull, she's not a supporter of the Qun at all. She's highly individualistic and won't be controlled by anyone. She's a pragmatist and a realist, but with a dry, sarcastic sense of humor. She's protective and devoted in a relationship, showing a softer side she usually walls up.
(Straight) Avvar Shaman (Mage) - Pretty Avvar girl with long blond hair. Basically the type men keep asking for. She's sweet, but not stupid. She knows more about Spirits than anyone else in our party and is an important asset to balance against the knowledge the Ancient Elves have of Spirits that other cultures are often lacking. Her relationship is fairly traditional.

I'm seeing a pattern with gay elves... They're pissed-off mages. Good thing with this arrangement is that there's both of that sort in there. Can we do the same for our ideal Mass Effect squad? (if it's ever getting a sequel that is lol)Squadmate Romance (I wish every LI had a possible asexual path, if you wish to do that):
Guys
Gay Angara Soldier: Beefy KISA. A well respected Angara with a high rank. Gives his 100% in everything he does, a natural leader that people respect, even if they don't like him. Basically Angara Aragorn. Romance is slow burn but passionate. Bi Quarian Infiltrator: Witty and charismatic with a sharp tongue. A sucker for romance. Had beef with some important and dangerous people in the past, so he has a bounty on his head now. Basically space pirate. Mostly mentions male ex-lovers because i'm tired of bi guys favoring women lol. Bi Turian Adept: Wanted to become a medic, but things got in the way. Could be on par with the ship medic, but isn't confident enough in his skills. Dry sarcastic sense of humour, but awfully sweet and protective once you get to know him better.
Girls
Straight Human Sentinel: The long haired conventionally attractive woman straight guys have always wanted. Sweet cinnamon roll, super flirty. I'm thinking someone like Triss from the Witcher. Gay Turian Vanguard: Muscular and scarred from days of being a high-ranked merc, knows lots of crazy stories (and is part of them as well), Very direct and intimdating at times; butch womanizer and super smooth once you start flirting with her. Bi Drell Engineer: Doesn't trust easily, seems more withdrawn at first, but warms up to the player. Builds really useful tech in her freetime. Comes up with crazy but genius ideas in like 0.2 seconds. She used to work on shady tech for the black market, now she tries to escape her past but it catches up to her.
Crewmember Romance Straight Human Pilot: Very risky but competent pilot, people tend to cling onto their seats and pray if he's in a bad mood. Gay Asari Chief Engineer: Ice queen, very confident in her skills and takes her job very seriously. Bi Salarian Science Officer: Nerd™, gets super excited if you talk to him about his interest and gets flustered easily, asexual romance only.
Two turians in the squad because there's never enough Turians.

I'll do ME:A2 ones, but I'm just doing the guys this time.
(Gay) Quarian (Engineer) - Quirky and a little naive, but a genius tech expert. He's very loving and supportive in a relationship. This is the sweet, mushy romance for all the guys tired of getting burned by emotionally unavailable LIs and bi males that freely volunteer their preference for women.
(Bi) Reyes Vidal (Infiltrator) - Returning romance from ME:A. Charismatic, sexy and a bit manipulative, but hopefully the romance will become closer and more certain in this game. He might not always tell you the truth, but he has the best intentions.. I like to think.
(Gay) Avitus Rix (Pathfinder, Off Ship) - While the two pathfinders have work that takes them in different directions too often for Avitus to join the squad permanently, we often find our paths cross. All the Milky Way races are in this together now, sharing colonies and resources, which requires close contact between the pathfinders. Avitus will always be grateful that Scott was there to help him through Macen's death and encourage him to take on the role of pathfinder. Now that some time has passed, he's ready to move on. Avitus isn't a people person, but he has a softer side once you get together and he's very protective.

In your opinion, who's the KISA? Is there one in this game?

Everyone has such a different take on what a KISA is, so it's hard to say. I think Jaal is pretty close (ofc, the most popular straight female romance, yet again). I can't watch his romance but the way he acts as a friend gives me a hint of what he is like in a relationship.

Is Kaidan not a KISA? It seems like he basically already was an m/m KISA, to me. I don't understand which criteria he doesn't fit.
This game, it's probably Jaal.

Vetra is giving me a few KISA vibes to be honest, even if she doesn't fit there 100%. She did some shady work, but she's constantly worrying about her sister and others and just has a very good heart. Everytime she yells "I will take their fire!" when she shields up to protect us I'm just . She is protective and good wife material. A 10/10, would recommend, liked, commented and subscribed.

My ideal KISA are Danse, Cullen, and Alistair. These characters don't need to be totally stoic, they could have a sense of humor and a more softer side to them, but the main point is they are the protector, the knight that you can rely on. The kind that people want to be and be with. I kinda want someone who's a bit shy or inexperience. A total horn dog is somehow turn me off for some reasons. With people like Danse, Cullen, and Alistair, they are that that experience about love, but when you get to know them, there is a romantic side to them that is very sweet like Danse talking about how he doesn't know what to do if he loses you, Cullen clears the table and throw you on it, the kind of forceful take charge, or Alistair giving you flower he picked up. It's just that small gesture of romance that somehow sweeten the romance a whole lot. The gay romance is lacking the romantic moment like this. In Mass Effect, I know what they're trying to do with Gil, but due to the short content of the gay romance, having a child seems to be moving too quick for someone you know for a few weeks. There is something lacking like if Gil bring you to a lake or to the beach or somewhere romantic like Jaal or Vetra. There are more romantic moments with Reyes, since he was made for females, there are more tender moments like grab you and start dancing.

I really hate Danse. He's basically everything I don't want from the KISA suggestion.
I get that people want "flawed" characters, but self-righteous bigotry is a deal breaker for me in a love interest. That's one of the main reasons that I'm wary of KISA type LIs. I said this before, but I worry they'll come bundled with in-game political beliefs that make a romance with them a non-starter for me. People in this thread have shown they have a wide variety of opinions on what a KISA really is. If it's someone like Kaidan or Jaal, I can work with that. They're maybe a little boring, but I can get behind most of their beliefs. I see them as both very unprejudiced. Both of them are willing to work with "aliens" and give them a chance pretty quickly. They want to do what's right for all people, regardless what species they are. I respect that.
A lot of KISA characters just strike me as bad people dressed up in shiny hero trappings. If we get a KISA that hates mages or elves in DA4, he's getting no D from me. I don't really care if they "get better", although in Danse's case, he doesn't even with ghouls. I don't meet a raging racist in real and be like, "I bet this guy actually has a heart of gold, I'm going to throw my ass at him and hope it melts his heart". That's a fuck no from me. I get it's not real life, but when I meet characters like that in games it's like, I'll let you fight with me to help save the world and, as a bonus, maybe I'll get to see you die in a fire during our travels together. We're not friend, I'm definitely not flirting with them. I just see no appeal in romancing someone like that.
But I'm willing to go full fantasy SJW, so this may just be me being on the extreme end of the alternative spectrum. I'm pretty DTF with any guerrilla fighter or impassioned leader of practically any oppressed factions. I would have helped Anders blow up the Chantry willingly and tossed murder knifed Cullen and Sebastian on the heap.
Where is that Evfra thread, again? He's sounding better to me all the time. He's got more grit than Jaal. lol

My KISA is a protector, neutral good, who shit on the law, if the law is wrong, and serve the justice. But each of us is different. This is why I wrote, that an Andrastian Templar is dark. Not necessarily evil or something, Thrask for example, or Malcolm Hawke's friend a good templar. (Cullen later let Hawke and Anders go, and leave the order, this is a very good point...)

I mean, if the stereotype is that gays can't be raging bigots, then that's a cross I'm willing to bear. lol I can deal with generally good KISA charactes, though. If Kaidan and Jaal are KISA, then those are characters I don't have any problems with. It's just when they tie into prejudices, generally in support of the majority/ruling body, that I nope out of there. Most people lump Cullen and Alistair into one type, but actually they're way different to me. I'm good with Alistair, but Cullen is a no, for me. Alistair was pretty chill about mages and elves from the start. He never really liked the Chantry, didn't want to be a Templar. He fits the Grey Warden attitude really well. He's very live and let live, unless you're doing something overtly douchey. Maybe Cullen gets better in the Inquisition late stages, but he was pretty typical of the Templar mindset. I can't really stop seeing DA2 Cullen. That, and he's more srs and boring than Alistair, imo, but that's a whole different point.
