MEA CC is a downgrade from DAI

Dutch thank you for opening this thread i was thinking of doing something similar.

I mean real beards. Also long flowing manly hair isn't available either and a lot of sliders present in DAI CC are not present in MEA.

There is a goatee i think. Not sure on the mustache though. the facial hair is as dissapointing as the original trilogy.

This doesn't make sense? Are you impaired in the head? Downgraded CC is an overall net negative. MEA should have had more or be at least on par with the CC quality of Inquisition since you know, both games are developed by the same company, using the same engine and assets...

If the hair isn't at least 2cm off the face. It isn't a beard.

There are even less customisation options than the original trilogy, for crying out loud. You're basically stuck with the predetermined presets. Sure, you can change the hairstyle and cover the face in some silly makeup, but this CC is completely and utterly lacking in tools to mold/change the facial features themselves. If it's a downgrade from games that came out in 2007, 2010 and 2012, then it's a problem.

If it seemed like the more limited choices were a trade off for better quality and facial animations I think people might accept it, but that's really not the impression I get at the moment.

The main problem is animations. Though yes, with the idea of having scanning faces with limited cc options, some of the presets should've been better.

Okay, I'll judge it purely by it's content. It fails at being a character creator because it lacks the fundamental ability to change and manipulate the facial features of the selected presets. For example, you like the eyes of one of the presets but don't like the nose? Maybe you imagine the face would look better with an impish, upturned nose? Well too bad, because you can't change it! The nose shape itself is essentially set in stone.

Every single person who chooses preset 8 will have a character that basically looks identical. Every single person who chooses preset 3 will have a character that basically looks identical. And so on. The biggest deciding factor of what your character is going to look like by a wide, wide margin is which preset you choose. Not what slider settings you lovingly and painstakingly selected.

It essentially fails at being a character creator at all. It's more of a "character chooser". Choose one of nine predetermined characters and change the hairstyle. Voila, you're done.
