Played over seven hours and I can't wait to keep going with the full version. It's been a lot of fun.

From my first 3 hours in which contained combat, story, side quests and general visuals. I give it an 85%, with the only issues I have are the CC, sub-par animations and lip sync, which I didn't detract much as I expected that from Bio-ware, and the combat. The combat I only have an issue with the cover system and that is probably me trying to get used to it.

This thread tells me where I definitely cannot turn for unbiased, level-headed reviews of BioWare games. I love this IP as much as anyone, and really want it to succeed. I'd put my time invested in the OT up against anyone's. That said, "95%" running away with the voting? I can't remember the last time I played a game that close to perfect. MEA is nowhere near perfect, as its myriad, undeniable issues clearly demonstrate. Fun? Sure. Perfect? No. It's well short of that. I'm going to go back into exile before this stuff being smoked around here does any permanent damage.

For the "outraged at high marks" crowd--keep in mind we're judging the first 10 hours, not THE ENTIRE GAME. So far, minus the lack of manual saving (in the prologue at least), it's certainly mashed (from the South, sorry) all the right buttons with me. I know, I know, that's not what some of you more objective, detached, level-headed folks want to hear. How about: Somethingsomething wurst animayshunz since Hitler. Better?

I'm loving it so far. It's hard to give a score after only 6-7 hours. I'd say 85 at the minute but I'd definitely expect it to go up rather than down.

So far, 75%. Issues with framerate, animation, and optimization aside, the game is still fun from the few hours I've put into it. I expect it to get better as the story ramps up and I actually start roaming and encounter various enemies.
I expect to bump it up to an 8.5/10 by time I'm done with it.
And anyone who thinks sub-9/10 games are unplayable are asinine. As long as it's above a 6/10, it's enjoyable.

played on hardcore difficulty for about two hours as a technician. I felt that the game put us in the position where we need to finish the initial area (after crashlanded) rather quickly, without encouraging exploration..
Well, BioWare, that will be the only impression you get from me for putting us with only limited 10 hours trial. This early access should be more like the old-times demo, gated in some point of the game but without any time limits. This way, we can do CC and exploring without any worries of time limits. The time limits should only applied for multiplayer session. 75/100 for the trial or early access version.

I'm 8 hours in. It isn't good. The faces, the walking, the DAI style exposition overload and "do uninteresting stuff for a long while and maybe you get fun stuff eventually". The save system is wonky.
Seriously, at what point did they look at the combat and go "it isn't broken, but lets try to break it"
I'm giving up on SP and just gonna enjoy try to enjoy what they turned MP into until my trial is over and maybe I'll buy the game at a later date. This sucks. Mass Effect was my Zelda.

I'm giving a 90% so far but expect that to go up from what I have seen so far. Only just arrived at Nexus. Odd glitch with mouse cursor staying in middle of screen sometimes. One of those things I find annoying. I didn't mess with CC much as I can spend way too much time in those. I did make a quick pass looking at the male presets and yikes. Seems locked out partially in the trial so hoping for at least DA:I level of tweaking. I did enjoy what I have seen otherwise in game. Movement on ground reminds me of mix of ME1(moving out of combat)/ME3(in combat). Jetpack is great and saved my butt on a few occasions already. Story has me interested, which is good. Graphics are awesome. Atmoshpere IMO is very good. Liked walking in a dark area and only having the light on suit to shine the way. The face animations I think are good. Something about the eyes just seem off. They seem dry, dull if I could describe it. Just not all the time. Ah well back to the trial. I am having fun and that is all that matters. If I enjoy the game. If not it will get put aside and forgotten about, which I doubt . Enjoying the sense of adventure and mystery. Again ME1 vibes IMHO.

This poll shows why it's important not to be misled by the outspoken minority.
I'd give it a 9/10 so far. I have gripes about the game, but zero of those gripes are about important mechanics. That's a good sign for me! Thinking of playing the game again tomorrow after work has me excited the same way the original trilogy did.

>weapons aren't hard hitting I disagree on this, The Avenger isn't hard hitting but when you craft the Valkyrie I it kills in 2-3 burst. Snipers rifle hit like a truck on most targets from my experience, well the ones that do high dmg(duh).

honestly 90% feels good from me. While the CC and animations quite frankly suck that doesn't ruin my enjoyment of the game. I think with some general bug fixing it will go up to 95%.

95%? Wew.
This game is near perfection then. It almost can't be improved. Got it.

Frankly, I am surprised it is scoring that high. I haven't played it myself (not an EA Access member), but the way the internet [mostly places like IGN and GameFAQs] is talking, it would seem like this is the next Bubsy 3D. I am so relieved to see some positivity.

Played some more and frankly I am really enjoying it. Did run into more issues with mouse cursor and chat wheel. Seems with choices were at top, it was just picking one before I could. Did it about 4 times.
I did mess with CC some to see what the fuss is about. Not really seeing it. Could use a few more male presets to tweak from. Female presets look decent to work from. I can say I am rather happy with using the default Sara and Scott. As I like how they look. Which I will end up using. The trilogy I always used default male Shep anyways. Made custom female Sheps in 1&2 but was good with default female Shep in 3.
Game runs very smoothly in 1080p on a R9-290X Lightning(17.3.2 driver) and I7-4770k @4ghz. All on high settings. Going to crank it up to Ultra and higher resolutions to see how it goes.

Solid 6/10.
Could be up to 8 without the below-shit tier animations, CC and ocasionally cringefest dialog, those things are so bad that they take away from the game as a whole.

I haven't played it myself (not an EA Access member), but the way the internet [mostly places like IGN and GameFAQs] is talking, it would seem like this is the next Bubsy 3D. I am so relieved to see some positivity. Sometime, people can be so loud about their negative opinion that they looks like a signifcant portion of the people. Take the seventh star wars for exemple, the movie was not just a sucess financially, it was met with high praise from the general public and the critics. BUT if you go on a youtube video comments section, reddit, forums or whatever, you could easily think that most people despise it because of how loud the criticsm is against that movie. Now that does not mean the criticsm is neccasarly unjustified, I myself don't like the seventh star wars, it was all right to watch but certainly not the star wars sequel I had hoped. But I totally know I am in the minority that disliked it and that most people enjoyed it, but you could be surprised when people speaks a lot about their point of view, if they insist enough they can look more numerous than they really are. Especially if they are negative, because we human unfortunately tend to focus on the negative reviews rather than the good one. As I said before if there was 1000 good reviews and one negative, we would focus on the one negative. (To anyone who reads this comments, I don't see my negative opinion about the seventh star wars to be objectively true, and I actually envy you if you enjoyed the movie. But no need to get defensive about it I respect your different tastes and opinion about certain things and I don't want to start an arguments about that movie.)

Hmm those that rate it much higher than 80% are in the lead but the only commentators here are those that score well below that. Odd that. The Bioware fanboys have great numbers, though their views may be archaic.
