I picked 90% for what I've played so far. I took points off for not being able to change features on the preset faces and the fact that I'm still experiencing some bug or glitch where sometimes conversation choices are being made by the game before I can choose and because the Nomad is not the Mako.

I'm opening up this thread/poll to ALL players now, seeing as the game drops tomorrow. I'm editing the initial post.
The same rule applies though. Only those who have actually played the game themselves for at least 5 - 10 hours (trial length) may vote. ANd don't just vote because of the reviews. Vote what YOU think.
I'm looking forward to the input of the fans!

I picked 80%. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the trial. That said, there are some things that need to be fixed before I'll spend money on it. (1) Echoing allllll the comments about the CC -- I realize in a game with 100+ hours of content, I'm not going to get Battlefield 1 level facial features an animations. That game's campaign is much shorter (maybe 20-30 hours playing on hard, probably half that on easy or normal)? However, I at least expect my characters to not look like Barbie dolls. (2) Not being able to save during priority missions. I'm hesitant to buy the game until this gets fixed, or the workaround is confirmed to work 100% of the time. A huge part of the fun of exploration-based games is trying to see just how far I can push the limits (of the world/surroundings). Will I die if I jump into the water? What about off this cliff? I should be able to save right before doing something that I don't know how it's going to turn out so I don't have to replay the 45 minutes I spent driving around and exploring up until then. Those are really my only major complaints. Some of the dialogue is cheesy and awkward, but I'm pretty sure there have been cheesy and awkward dialogues in every Mass Effect game. So, onto general thoughts/likes/dislikes. Likes (1) I'm getting major Halo 4 vibes from this (and I liked Halo 4, haters gonna hate). So that's a huge plus. Either way, the writing looks to be a step up from ME3 (which isn't hard to do, but still). (2) Combat is pretty good. It will take a few hours to get used to before playing on Insanity, but I am confident it will be an enjoyable experience. (3) I don't know how much I'll use the profile-switching mechanic, but I think it's good to at least give people that option. I'm not sure how much replay value Andromeda will have (i.e. fewer opportunities for Ryder to make crucial decisions, and it seems like his/her personality will be pretty static with the new dialogue system), so it's probably a good thing. (4) Doing donuts in the Nomad. Because why the hell not. Dislikes (1) I really don't like the new dialogue system. I agree with the sentiment that it kind of sucked how much the Renegade/Paragon system pressured you to stick with one side or the other, but I think there are better ways to improve that than get rid of it altogether. I think I had about 7-9 Mass Effect 1 playthroughs, and each time it felt like the "new" Shepard was wildly different than the last. I don't think Andromeda will have that. (2) What I've seen of the overall game, so far -- story, scenery, characters, creatures -- has been enjoyable, but it seems pretty uncreative. I was looking forward to entirely new aliens, species, and worlds -- they could have taken the "blank slate" that this game gave them and absolutely run with it and produced something beyond people's wildest imaginings, instead we have the Kett, which look a lot like the Collectors, the same damn major alien races as in the original trilogy, and a planet that looks like eastern Utah. Don't get me wrong, I thought the scenery on Eos was nothing short of spectacular, but it doesn't feel "alien" to me. (3) I want to be able to switch my squadmates' armor and weapons. This isn't a make-or-break feature, but choosing my companions' equipment was an enjoyable aspect of the first game, and I wish I still had it. I think the argument about "iconic" looks is BS -- all the ME1 companions had pretty "iconic" looks, despite the fact that I could give them whatever armor and guns I wanted. In conclusion: unless all the reviews that ensue over the rest of the week make it seem like a total fiasco ala ME3, I'll probably pick it up this weekend or next.

ME3 wasn't really a fiasco... just the ending. EVerything else was awesome. Although... If I'd known at the time that I'd be getting jetpacks in the future, I'd have been pissed to not yet have them back then.

I've played the first few hours of the trial and I'm just about to go to Eos. So far, it's a 7/10 for me, but just barely.
On the plus side, combat is more fluid than before and the jump pack is a nice addition to it - I like good mobility in a fight. The AI moves like it's clearly aware of my position, but on the other hand, it also seems blissfully unaware when it's being shot at - at least I didn't observe any changes in behavior in enemies I was shooting. They kept holding position or peeking out of cover, whether or not I was emptying a clip into their bony little heads. Overall, I found combat fun to play, and I dislike the kett enough to smile every time one of them dies to my hail of righteous fire. Given that I find combat pretty enjoyable I also look forward to the multiplayer, even though it clearly doesn't generate the same adrenaline levels as a Battlefield match. Much of the tension comes from me not remembering when the game last autosaved.
As far as story and characters go I'm just not feeling it yet. I can't remember a single enjoyable conversation from those first few hours. The conversations on the Nexus were mostly carpet bombing me with boring exposition, so much that I quickly noped out of the Codex after discovering yet even more frigging exposition there. Banter during the first mission seemed mostly light summer blockbuster style - occasionally funny but forgettable. The most telling moment about how I feel about the beginning of the game was probably the one where I realized that I don't like the look of my Ryder that much, but the thought of going through the early game again kept me from starting over.
When I get home today I'll find out whether everything gets better on Eos.
EDIT: changing score to 8/10. It DID get better on Eos and beyond.

I rate it a 95%.
I'm about 20 hours in, playing on PS4. I'm loving every minute of it. Story is great, combat is fantastic, characters are interesting and mostly even better than I initially judged them to be.
I haven't experienced a single bug so far. There are some animation oddities now and then but nothing to take me out of the game. Complaints about faces are way overblown, IMO, as are complaints about the game starting off too slow.
My main negative is the limited CC. Even though I planned on playing with the default Ryder(s) for a long time now, I still regret the loss of options.
This is all based on SP. I haven't dug into MP yet, enjoying the story too much.

I'm re-rating 90% after 50 hours of play. I'm honestly not getting all the criticism that's thrown around. Really, really trying, but it's all so blown out of proportion. I haven't had gamebreaking bugs in 50 hours. No real weird animations (except airdropped kett stuck in the air). Sure, the faces aren't 100% but I'm not even noticing that anymore. There. is. absolutely. nothing. wrong. with. the. writing! I don't know what standards these 'reviewers' have, but if they were expecting novel best-seller scripture, get a grip. Mass effect has always been - and I hope will never be anything else than - a B-movie sci-fi rom-com. I, for one, am loving it for staying true to it's nature. And people keep comparing this game to earlier games, or other RPG's, but they fail to remember that other RPGs like W3 (heresy!) had a lot of bugs at the start as well, or let's not even talk about the bugfest that is skyrim. And earlier ME games weren't perfect either you know. A lot of the criticism I see here makes me think: "were you kids even around during the first three games? Those had that too!". It's honestly disgraceful that the early reviewers were so negative. And there was no-one brave enough to step up and say: "hey, guys? Seriously? Form your own opinion already and don't copy the earlier reviews!" Anyway. Loving this game to bits. Great ME1 feel. Perfect combat (although combat is getting overly easy now I'm higher level, might switch it up a notch in the future). Intriguing story. Great characters ( drack and vetra banter, he so wants to be a father to her ). If they nibble away at the final unfinished bits, this goes up to 95%.

85%. It's a good game with some flaws.
Everything above 90 and below 70 is nonsense, because it's neither an outstanding nor a mediocre game.

The things missing for me is, save F5 and load F9. Music, where is the music? What there is is good but so far and in between!
For the rest, I am having a blast and in that objective, MEA does not disappoint. Gameplay for months to come, what I expect of Bioware and to date always delivered me. Perfect game, no but honestly I don't know of any perfect game.
I am tired that today's "rational" has gone out the airlock. Javic has some work to do and throw those bandwagon Miserables of so-called journalists out of the airlock. Gave it an 85%.

I would say 60%. I've had some pretty bad bugs on the PC, I actually got so frustrated on Sat that I just quit and didn't play it again until the next day. Some games come across as polished, finished with some bugs and others like this one come across as having needed more time before release.
For a story/character driven game, the lifeless, dead faces don't convey any kind of emotion of what the characters are trying to get across. I'm really disappointed that we traveled 600 years, and so many light years to only have two new races, one of which is the enemy.
I like the large areas and the nomad, and the combat is fun. But when you go into a fight and can't draw any weapons, get shot through walls, fall through a floor, finish a fight a then get killed during a conversation with an NPC while the dialogue wheel is open, it's hard to enjoy a game. There's no telling when the last time the auto save did anything or how far back you'll get placed. Half the time the manual save option is grayed out, so you're at the mercy of this, and having to redo things like allocating skill points, activating forward stations, etc is not fun either.
I have more issues with the technical aspect of the game at this point, so if they fix some of this stuff my score may go up, but right now, from my experience, I couldn't even recommend that my friends who asked my opinion go out and buy it at full price. On the PC at least.

After going through roughly half the game very thoroughly, I'll change my score to 65%... aside from all the problems mentioned above, I've come across so many small and big bugs, continuity and pacing errors, and even a couple of outright broken quests. While the game is still enjoyable, that does put another big dent into the overall experience.

10/10. During a certain mission, it bugged a little out towards the end, and let me freely roam an open, beautifully landscaped planet with no restrictions. On foot though. +1 I also give the next game a preemptive 10/10. I spend all my time going into every nook and cranny, just to see what's there and to take pictures. It's a lonely galaxy when you're 100% and there's literally nothing to actually do. This is what a true ME fan is like, take notice! The bad makes the good even better. Means it's not perfect, like me. End score 10(+1)/10, or 200%.

Finished the game last night and I'd give it a solid 8/10.
Pros
I really love the Tempest Crew, this is the first Mass Effect game where I haven't hated someone or thought someone was boring. I also love the loyalty missions, they give you a really good insight into the characters and help you build a good relationship with them. In the trilogy it wasn't until ME2 that I started to connect with squadmates & crew, but in Andromeda I connected much faster. Loyalty Missions are some of the best Bioware have ever made. There are missions that let me be a SPACE DETECTIVE! Some of the fetch quests that I thought were going to be dull ended up having a really exciting ending or had some really enjoyable world building in them The story had a nice mystery to it and there is still lots to be revealed in later games or DLC Once I got the hang of the profiles and favourites, the combat is super fun. The worlds are really well designed and each feel really different. I like the dialogue options and the interrupts, I felt like my casual emotional Ryder was able to be more logical if the I thought the situation demanded it, where as in the trilogy, I felt hamstrung by the Paragon/Renegade system sometimes. I love that Ryder was able to grow and develop from an awkward rookie to someone who knew what she was doing. That ending - wow, up there with ME2.
Cons It is far glitchier than it should be, not Bethesda bad, but worse that I expected. Some of the facial animations are dodgy. Some of the dialogue doesn't quite hit the mark, though I did tend to know what they were going for.
All in all, I really enjoyed it despite it's flaws and I'm looking forward to seeing what Bioware do next with Andromeda and the series in general.

First of all - why no 65% option? Because that's where that game pretty much stands. Second - poll results are not surprising, considering how many ppl here think that Ryder turned out to be an acceptable or even good character. Thats pretty much the one biggest thing that makes it or breaks it. Animations, typical mediocre story etc., all can be overlooked if character cast is strong and relatable, that's how it always was in Bioware games, at least until Andromeda. If ppl are ok with immature and goofy protagonist that is impossible for a mature person to relate to in any meaningful way, as well as pretty much most other characters terrible weak writing and lack of dialogue options, then they will be slapping eights, nines and tens at it, because overall gameplay is strong and game environment looks gorgeous. If anything, this poll is a great representation of forum demographic.

I feel like it's unfair for you to say that it is impossible for a mature person to relate to the protagonist because they are "immature and goofy." That may be your experience, but there are plenty of people here who are mature adults and are enjoying the game and can relate to the PC. You can dislike the game just fine, but I don't know why you would need to insult everyone who enjoys it.

I'm not a great fan of giving scores. I've played this game for over 50 hours, which is longer than I've played any game released in the last six months, and I'm still enjoying it. So on that basis, it might be a 10/10, but even for me there are still problems with the game. Some bugs, some frustration at the way things have been implemented, and that's speaking as someone who isn't that bothered about the animations or dialogue. So I could also justify giving it 6/10. At the end of the day, the score doesn't matter: either you're having fun or you ain't.

6/10. Yet to finish the game, but few things are evident. "You've done fucked it up" by AngryJoe is pretty in order here, although there is good in there.
Pros:
- Great combat system. I like the hyper-mobile style so very much, with the weapon and power variety and comboing. - Great environments, like ME1 on steroids. There were few times that I said: "WOW O_O" - Good sense of development. The environments change according to your action, your characters appropriately gets stronger as you level up. - Less Super Mario moments than DA:I, thats good. - Good interaction between the crew, it was pretty lacking in most of Shepard's trilogy. Going almost to the level of DA, thats good. - Vetra Nyx, Jaal
(didn't encounter any significant bugs)
Cons:
- The usual CC and animation complaints. They suck alright, but the animations don't bother me that much. - At times awful conversation writing. What's up with Gil? He's sooooo annoying ffs. - Lack of vision and imagination about a Reaperless galaxy. This is all you can conjure up? The Kett are underwhelming, Angara no more advanced than Asari at best... - Between interesting things too long sections of nothing about nothing. - Infuriating UI at times. Why do I have to juggle back and forth to get the profiles I want? Why do I have to approve everything 26 times? - General unpolishness, coming from Overwatch this is clearly visible. All Asari look the same outside Peebee and they all look horrible, some weird texture on Turians, etc... - The loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong transition animations between planets. Is that necessary? It is ugly as well in medium settings, so, yeah... - Lore inconsistencies. - Subpar characters for a Bioware game.
In conclusion, this is DA:I in space with a better horse, worse companions and story, and with a distinct lack of polish. Damn disappointing, many of Bioware's strengths are not present here without a suitable compensation for the usual weaknesses, but I will do a second playthrough playing in Insanity as there are good things here and I do wish to explore everything that is not fetch quests.

90/100
Which imo is a huge success for any game. It is based on my experience of some 40 hours of playing. Eos, Havarl, Voeld and Kadara completed, Liam's loyalty quest is the only one, tried a bit of flirting.
Most of the flaws so far were rather minor compared to how much fun I have had.
Flaws I would have loved to see changed are the no complexions on male PCs, shared or more hairstyles, one extra tip on Kadara Vault (the console needs to have a clear tool tip attracting attention to switching the positions to setting one and setting two, making sure you know it's important that it creates a different pathway), better quest markings on the Kadara's three main "Settle Kadara" quests and opening Jaal for male PC romance.
Other than that so far the game was fabulously fun with exploration presented in a good way. love the game's aesthetics, music, very clear narration, cheeky protagonist, the well-explained need for side-quests, the characters, and of course the verse. I also think Andromeda is the first instalment that managed to capture the melting pot atmosphere with at least some success.
Also, reserving my judgment on MP, as it feels that it needs tweaks and add-one to vpbecome the predecessors' equal.

85. The technical issues don't bug me because they will get ironed out. I like Ryder as a fresh new optimistic set of eyes to explore a new universe. The game did a LOT of heavy lifting to lay a foundation for a new series of games I hope will really open up and explore the rest of this galaxy. Heleus is an artificial construct within the game lore and a lot of that makes sense and was almost necessary. However, I do want to see Bioware go further on alien's in future content. Something truly unique and new.
The meta-story that has been laid down is top notch. No there is no all powerful unbeatable super enemy with a space jesus to stop them in this game. What you have is a mysterious benefactor whose goals and objectives for the initiative remain a mystery. You have a zealot from a race of aliens you barely understand who you have defeated but the rest of his race has an empire somewhere out there. You have seen the work of two advanced alien races the Jaardan and the Scourge Aliens we know very very little about, other than it looks like they may have been at war. We have the Angara whose culture has been hit over the head with an earth shattering reality about their creation.
The story elements are fascinating.
I would love to see a more mature Ryder in the next game (maybe 10 years older), some of the companions return as companions while others return as NPC's.
