Easily a 8/10.
Once everything gets patched up in a few months I'll likely bump it to a 9/10.
Any game that can make me spend 70hrs on the campaign, and make me want to immediately go into NG+ is a winner in my book.

I enjoyed the experience overall but I'm waving between 7/10 and 6/10 depending on my mood. I can understand the backlash to it, the disappointment in the final product is merited IMO. It should have been a lot better than this.

65/100 at the moment. Just too many bad decisions in the game. The terrible CC, the deliberate uglification of the female characters, and the poor body models are some of the worst offenders. Then you throw on the typical bugs and technical issues along with a mediocre and predictable story and they lose a lot of points with me.
The gameplay is rather enjoyable, I had fun playing. I don't love Ryder and the squad the way I did the OT group but they could grow on me I think. The story was as I said mediocre but it wasn't bad. At least there were no Terminator Reapers or Star Childs anywhere in sight. For the most part I found those parts of the game to be adequate for a ME game.
If they hadn't messed up the CC and face models so badly and fixed some of the more egregious bugs before release I would have probably given it a 75 or 80.

It is only natural that the results from a Bioware and Mass Effect fan site is going to have elevated scores. The game definitely isn't 9/10 worthy but it also doesn't deserve the 0 brigade coming out in force on Metacritic and the like either.

95% I can look past the minor animation problems and bugs that requires a reload at times. The story is great! The characters are greater! The combat is awesome! And it has extreme replay value!
So why not 100%? The character creator leaves some to be desired. The Pathfinders armor has flaws(Lack of armor parts on chest piece and arms), too many currencies and some of the more severe bugs should not have been allowed to survive the launch. But overall, it is a great game!

I would say 6.5/10. The entire game is a big bag of meh! until the climax, which is admittedly very exciting, visually appealing, and well put together. Some of the quests are enjoyable and some of the squaddies are tolerable. Drack is pretty good but I may just be projecting my love of Wrex/Grunt on him.
The bugs, load times, space transitions, animations, and little things like one Asari faces really start to wear on you as you play the game. I know of at least 3 reviewers on Youtube who could flat out not finish the game due to game breaking bugs.
I objected to the whole premise of leaving the galaxy from the start; they should have chosen a canon ending (obviously destroy) and gone with it. This game could have easily been adapted to being a project to escape the Reapers within the Milky Way (1% explored so far?). The Protheans showed us you only need to avoid using the mass relays and not tell anybody where you are going, and you can avoid the Reapers entirely. That would have at least kept a toe in the same ME universe we all know and love instead of throwing an entire galaxy of developed lore in the trashheap of the distant past.
For comparitive reference:
Witcher 3 = 9.5/10 ME2 = 9/10 ME1/ME3 = 8/10 Fallout 4 = 7.5/10 Skyrim = 7/10

Too many bugs and stupid gameplay decisions - galaxy map, too much backtracking for VERY short moments and some quests looks like they arent completed.
I will raise it to 8 if they will fix the most of annoying things and some cutscenes will get extended.

I picked 85%. Attempting to put a bit of my bias aside, I think that there's a really stellar game behind its slew of technical issues. I look forward to seeing how the game runs after the patch tomorrow.

I can't help but enjoy the irony a little. Am I so out of touch? No. It's the BSN who is wrong. But there are people on BSN who don't like the game either. I trust you contributed to the poll, as did others who think its sub par (to be kind). So, why are the results here the product of delusional people and not the cumulative results of the rando yokels that might visit, say, Metacritic?

I would give it an 85%. It is a flawed game although I find the majority of the flaws either superficial or at least non-fundamental. I've had a lot of fun already and I expect to continue to do so. For my ongoing enjoyment now I feel the most important thing is for them to get the balance right in multiplayer which is my biggest concern for an ongoing game. For new people however they need to look at ironing out the GUI's and more annoying and confusing aspects of SPer.
I can understand people who value production values significantly higher than gameplay giving it a low mark, I just never take that opinion to games.

7/10 There's just too much the game does wrong that i can't go above 7, and even 7 is generous.
-Animations (this really needs no explaining), -Cringy "we are awesome and we can do it" "4 shades of paragon" dialog options, -Cartoony main story with antagonist generic af, -Lack of polish in every aspect, -Boring and often rage inducing side missions ("The Contagion" and the like, can fuck off), -Planetary scanning which gives you 5 IRON/XP or 80% of the time nothing, -All but useless AVP system (I always thought that by spending AVP points, we'd actually make some difference to the Nexus, visual and otherwise, but nope, it's just another micromanagement system for the sake of having one) -SAM -Scan Effect: Scandromeda -....
We'll see if the game gets any better with future updates and fixes.

Allright, now that I've finished the game, I'm pretty sure all negative comments are unduly harsh. Mind, that I feel for the people on the platforms where there are a lot of bugs, but on XBOX, I encountered almost zero annoying bugs. So I can't really deduct points for that. Story: Take it for what it is: a new beginning. I really enjoyed it. I did find that yes, it starts very slowly, but as the game progresses, the characters really develop and all grow very tight. The tempest becomes more lively, attachments between characters rise, characters develop or see things a different way, ... It's a stroy of evolution and development. And for me it really showed that. I remember feeling cold in the tempest at the start of the game, but near the final mission, it felt very warm and sheltered. Like a home. Voice acting is almost always spot on, even if there's just a smidgen too much swearing from time to time. In particular I want to adress how well the pathfinder develops over the game, I find you can really see him grow from secondary character to his father to all-round bad-ass. I actually prefer him to shepard now, as Ryder makes shepard look kind of... one-dimensional. Shepard doesn't grow, he already IS a bad-ass world-saving hero. I didn't know I lacked main hero development until I saw Ryder grow. World: The world design is fantastic. Everything looks really good. I always felt engrossed and convinced of where I was. Love the galaxy map. Yes, at the start of the game human models look slightly off, but after so many hours you don't notice that anymore, and the new patch fixes it a little. Again, yes there are bugs but I haven't seen any weird or immersion breaking ones. The music is also usually very mass effect and appropriate to the mood of the first game. Most main quests as well as main sidequests are very well developed story-wise. Yeah, there are some fetch quests, but there is not one single RPG (yes fanboys, even W3...) which doesn't have them, so why unduly punish bioware for what every other RPG does as well? And all in all, except for the 'task' quests, they're all written with the same class as the main (secondary) quests. Gameplay: Fantastic, not much else. I would have done some things fdifferent, such as allowing for a more rapid cooldown between profiles and putting special ammo types in as augmentations, or maybe even allowing you to set up team tactics. But The gameplay in and of itself is spot-on. I would like to note that the best parts of the gameplay are the on-rail sections (like loyalty missions or main missions). Open world shooting isn't easy to do, but bioware has made it work, is the least that can be said. All in all: I'm anxious for a second playthrough, and even the story DLC installments! Quarian Ark, I'm looking at you! Pathfinder Vas QuibQuib for the win! Although I would prefer Bioware to finish QA for every platform before release next time... A very well deserved 90%.
