Same here, my slavic\european-looking twins got the 'Very Wrong' daddy. And it's not a bug (I've seen the video with the different heads\dads - that's what he is supposed to be for the preset of my choice). They've dropped the ball with this one, imo. At the very least default Alec should have been an option.

The preset I selected was light-skinned... relatively speaking anyway, the preset looked possibly hispanic.. definitely not african ethnicity though (there's 1 or 2 african presets, I did not choose either).

The only way my character makes sense visually is if she was mixed-ethnicity .. black father, white mother... yet both parents are very much dark skinned and both children are white.

I also tested it with east-asian female and east-asian custom brother (as in Chinese / Japanese / Korean appearance etc). .. father again appears as african male... very weird.

Dad's skin tone always matches that of the unedited preset.

Or any version for that matter. There is at least one that I've seen that I actually like more than the default. 

Same thing happens in DA2. I am not fond of the whole family generation initiative, and I think the best thing to do is to let the player to customize all three from whatever the best guess they made. But I actually prefer to play an adopted character, so it would not bother me.

Actually they can, but it is extremely rare and only if at least one of the parents had one white grandparent.

Alec has a different preset that corresponds to which preset you use, and it doesn't really change to match your customizations. It's an immersion breaker, sure, but Alec and his wife seem to have fairly minor roles (in person) so I can suspend my disbelief enough regarding the whole racial mismatch deal.
