Okay... so your criticism of the article bases on a fact that they apparently ignore the data from census of ONE country... when the article speaks of Europe overall?

... that's like taking census from my country - Poland - and claiming that since 98% of population here is white it means that minority ethnicities are nowhere near replacing the majority held by white population across the whole of Europe (despite Poland being only a middle-sized country with less than a half of population of Germany). I think you'd know where to spot the fallacy.

I mean, never mind that our neighbors across the western border and Baltic sea are actually as close to multi-cultural paradise as you can get, relatively speaking.

Did you read the article? It mentioned that only the UK and the Netherlands collect data on ethnicity on their census. That's what the data is based on. And it also assumes that the immigrants who come into countries like Germany, UK and other European countries are going to keep continually having a larger birthrate which is highly unlikely given the easier access to birth control and access to various opportunities to women in these countries which there is alot of evidence to it lowering birthrates. That Guardian article is designed to generate sensationalism and makes many assumptions which are plain stupid. This that kinda rubbish that racist groups use to say white people are "dying out". It's not rooted in fact at all.

Humm not sure what you are talking about but I live in Europe(Portugal) and although I am white of skin, I am the minority. Most of the population is dark skinned with dark eyes, dark hair aka latinos too. Most of the south of Europe is like that.

Most have been said. A little point however ; if it is true rpg means to play a role, it is also true most people really imagine themself as the heroes. By this way they also tend to create (if possible) a character who look like them (or an idealized avatar). Now if bioware imagine in 2 centuries almost everybody will be Brown, ok ... Good luck to sell the game in two centuries. But I feel it is a risky long payback period.

Same but I had Morgan Freeman dad and default Scott so I assumed the family was mixed like I made it (Black Sara).

No but it'll fix my main beefs with the CC, assuming Devs don't get to it. I think Devs will fix some of the complaints. True... well we Portuguese hate to be compare with Spanish people so there is that. We historically have a lot of bad blood and also royal connection, it is complicated lel... no but for real I am proud of my heritage with even some galician and celtic blood but there is a lot of people that do not like to be called latino for sure. I love it though, like many others.

I haven't read all the responses but I made 3 Ryder's and the Dads all matched the heads I chose. They definitely looked related, even with the changes I made in the CC.

I don't think Bioware is going to fix the CC or the animations the way it should.
Maybe a few tweaks here and there, but nothing great.

All my hopes now rest with the modders.
They will give us the chance to use default Alec with any preset, I'm sure of it.

I hope it is a simulated naivety.

Just my opinion ; westerners are mostly moderate on racism, and usually non violent. Racism is more uncomplexed and violent in central and eastern europe, including Russia.

In western europe it is politically correct to claim you are not a racist at all. It could even be a snobbish attitude, for who want appear as a philosoph or an intellectual.

This is for the first part of your sentence.

The second now. It is natural people want to identify themself to the heros. Very often, players, will custom characters, like an idealized himself... so most often from its ethnicity. In game it could appear strange parent ethnie dont match with childs.

It is sometime strange to have to said such obvious things.
