Ok, this is what I can tell for those interested, about what happens. In Spoiler tag, because they really are MASSIVE SPOILERS - Feel free to correct me, since I just watched this part for the final mission and might have gotten some things wrong. - Your sibling gets captured by the Archon (you get to play as them for a few minutes). And SAM. Your sibling actually saves your life by stabilizing the link between you and SAM and gets captured by the Archon on the Hyperion that way. - You realize you can use Remnant tech without SAM, and use your connection to awaken an entire Remnant army. - You use that army to face the Archon's, along with your allies that you've made throughout the game. - You infiltrate Meridian (which is actually a planet, from what I was able to tell - I might be wrong), and go after the Archon. - The planet is all covered in a Remnant sphere. - The planet is beautiful (and end up becoming the new home for humanity at the end). - You enter a final vault (or whatever that is). - The Archon is able to interface with Meridian using your sibling's connection and SAM. He tries to use it to destroy all planets in the cluster (because the tech can actually do that). It can also give them a habitable status. - Everyone joins up for the final push, including the squadmates you didn't choose to be in the squad. - The Hyperion crash lands and the Captain (Dunn, if I recall her name correctly), dies. - You don't face the Archon in the end, but actually a metallic thresher maw (like the one we've seen in the trailers), the objective is not to defeat it, but disconnect the Archon from Meridian, going around the room activating specific points. You are able to do that with the help of your sibling and SAM. - Archon gets disconnected and dies electrocuted (or not, it isn't very clear, he just lies there on the ground). - You get out of the vault with your squad and everyone comes to praise you for saving the Initiative (including the Salarian pathfinder [if she still lives from a decision you get to make earlier in the game]). - Roll credits - Middle credits scene - Another Kett appears looking at Meridian (similar to Shepard's scene in the teaser trailer for ME3). - After credits - your sibling awakens in your father's quarters and you get to talk to them a little more. - The leaders of the Initiative want your opinion on who should be the ambassador for the Initiative in the Cluster. You have four options: The angara, Moshae - Outpost leader, Bradley - Salarian pathfinder Raeka (if she still lives) - Krogan Nakmor Kesh of the Ai - They mention that the ambassador will be temporary as they want to elect a new Council after.
Reminding that things might be different depending on the choices in the game, but that's what I've seen.

Indeed. 9/10 from me! I loled when the Krogan got a seat on the Council. I feel almost dirty typing it. EDIT: Oh, just ambassador? Sorry. I'm fuzzy on details which is good because I still want to play it myself. Is it optional? I didn't pay enough attention. Hopefully MEA treats its ending decisions with greater respect than ME1. I'm a little miffed that the ending sequence seemed ...relatively short? Hard to tell with how it was being pushed through. It also clearly just resolves like... a major aspect of the biggest arc of MEA, and so much smells of DLC-bait and clear setup for a future of a series. As I don't have attachment to the Archon (yet? I need to play), this all smacks of Corypheus-with-more-emotion and the actual 'real' next gen story of Mass Effect has yet to barely proceed. Maybe Bioware sold it all to EA like "Hey, this can be an eternal series now, like Star Trek!" But it still looks like AN ending and a nice status to jumpstart something bigger. I wonder if there's going to actually be a lot of post-ending dialogue, or even reason to put some content off (for RP reasons) til then. @steel - Yeah, yeah. I was just setting up a place to talk.

Yes, it might even feel that the whole game is just a prologue for what's coming. Probably full war with the kett, another protagonist (I don't want that). But, exploring the rest of the galaxy will be good. Maybe one cluster at a time!

I tried to watch one of the videos, but as usual with ytube streamed ones, they wouldn't work for me. If it had ended up like the ME3 ending, I would have definitely cancelled my pre-order (especially combined with the terrible CC and only having 2 romance options). Rather sick of having the hero die in the end unless you pull a major 'evil'/renegade move. Thank bob for MEHEM.
I can't really give a proper opinion due to not being able to play until the 23rd (Amazon pre-order. Cheaper than Origin.) But, at least it does seem like Bio's learned from ME3. Shame about the CC.

But, exploring the rest of the galaxy will be good. Maybe one cluster at a time! If they DLC are very substantial - I mean clearly bigger and more involved than ME3's DLC were, then I'm okay with saying goodbye to the Pathfinder as PC, only to involve them in future plots (anything: squadmate, temp squadmate, NPC, major story involvement just as long as Mass Effect Archives records our preferred 1-2 types of personality). After like... up to a couple hundred (all DLC? insanity? completionist?) hours on a playthrough with them, I may very well get sick of it. Of course I'd want any bigger mysteries essentially solved first, but that's it. The future doesn't necessarily need a pathfinder, but a diplomat, politician (MET would be disgusted!), ruler, admiral, spy, whatever for whatever story. But I think we'll be done with this relative focus on trying to establish a new home and so the focus on Ryder may end. That is, Bioware is also likely ready and waiting for peoples' full impressions of Ryder before deciding that. Maybe if Ryder is adored and people clamor for more, they'll just evolve Ryder's role beyond Pathfinder (or evolve the meaning of that role). But personally, so far, I don't prefer that - again, especially if the DLC gets meaty.

Ryder has some very cool moments that Shepard didn't have in the trilogy, like: "They are scanning us, pathfinder" - "Well, scan them back!" Trying to say Kett words, inventing stuff. Dying three times in the game, and being resurrected! - If you ever thought Shepard was great at dying and coming back! There is a lot more, but these come to mind!

Shame about the CC.I don't have a problem with that sort of ending except ME3 did it rather awkwardly and strangely and abruptly enough that it even inspired deep theories about what really happened. (Not saying good or bad for that - I'm a theorist myself - but it lacked major resolution for an ending of a trilogy.) Given what info and plot we actually got in ME3, stuff like MEHEM really would have been more appropriate, overall. Not that I'd have preferred it. Personally, I would have liked much more valid info for other sorts of choices/outcomes, strange ideas that prompt exploration of possibilities. But no - the plot and story we got was almost all about killing Reapers so no matter what the hidden ideas behind the ending may have been, its a jerk move to make the ending anything but killing Reapers. Even as intruiging things MIGHT be. Sorry, got into ME3 rant mode . Anyway, MEA's is relatively straightforward and offers a bright start to things. That's good. Its not my preferred good, but I KNOW Mass Effect needed something like this anyway. Calm us down before even starting to try to mess with us again. (Where's our Trespasser? ahahahaahaahahaaaahaahahaah)

I actually just really liked the design of everything. It was way more Interesting to me than the Collector base, or Earth in ME3. It felt epic, i hate using that word. And this was just from watching the stream, it'll be fun to actually play this thing. So yeah i like it, and i hope they can build on this with a couple of strong single player DLC's.

Dying three times in the game, and being resurrected! - If you thought Shepard was great at dying and coming back, think again! There are a lot more, but these come to mind! Yeah honestly I like Ryder more than Shepard for several reasons. I just think the character model, body animations, facial animations doesn't do it justice. Also I don't enjoy the male VA as much as I hoped (he's ALMOST perfect). Unlike FemShep where I still go "Well I'll make a playthrough someday", SisRyder has me going "Yes. I'm doing this." And I think the idea with the deaths is to make it very clear that Ryder and SAM are arguably one and the same, even if not exactly merged. That this sort of thing is possible, and while we can consider it problematic, it isn't necessarily evil or corrupted or huge danger. At least not yet (DLC? ahahahaahahha..... yeah).

- You infiltrate Meridian (which is actually a planet, from what I was able to tell - Just the final mission), going after the Archon. - The Hyperion crash lands and the Captain (Dunn, if I recall her name), dies. - You don't face the Archon in the end, but actually a metallic thresher maw (like the one we've seen in the trailers), but the objective is not defeat it, but disconnect the Archon from Meridian, going around the room activating specific points. You are able to do that with the help of your sibling and SAM. - Archon gets disconnected and dies electrocuted (or not, it isn't very clear, he just lies there). - You get out of the vault with your squad and everyone comes to praise you for saving the Initiative (including the Salarian pathfinder [if she still lives from a decision you get to make earlier in the game]). - Roll credits - Middle credits - Another Kett appears looking at Meridian (similar to Shepard in the teaser trailer for ME3). - After credits - your sibling awakens in your father's quarters and you get to talk to them a little more. - The leaders of the Initiative want your opinion on who should be the ambassador for the Initiative in the Cluster. You have four options: The angara, Moshae - Outpost leader, Bradley - Salarian pathfinder Raeka (if she still lives) - Krogan Nakmor Kesh of the Ai
Reminding that things might be different depending on the choices on the game, but that's what I've seen. plz tell us,how long you take to finish the full game ? 100~150 hour ? 150~200 hour ?
