Where do we go from here?

I honestly think they should let Bioware Montreal make the next game. They have the experience with the Frostbite Engine in regards to Mass Effect now, so the next development cycle should be shorter. I think they can obviously see the things they need to work on for the next game that people are upset about (facial animations, CC, glitches, sidequest content and quality, etc) and you can be darn sure EA and the high-ups at Bioware will be on them about fixing these things earlier and doing a better marketing campaign next time. It's better to have people who have learned from mistakes than to say "well, you messed up. We'll let this other group do it," and then watch them "fail" again because they don't have the experience. Bioware Montreal now has something to prove for the next game, and should know intimately what to do to give the fans what they want for MEA:2. I'm not done with Andromeda yet, but I think there is so much potential for great stories and new alien races. I have no problem giving them another shot, and I think it logically makes the most sense.

Here's a novel idea... Why not wait for a few months worth of sales figures to come out before voting on anything?

I don't find wildly speculating on such "business related" things as this much "fun." anyways.  I play the games for fun.

I would like to see Andromeda 2 take place a LONG time after the first so that the Initiative would have time to settle and spread.

So after everything that has happened, you want Montreal again? You people are the biggest self-haters I've ever seen.

I love Andromeda, really any new Mass Effect game would essentially have me squealing "TAAAAAKE MY MONEY!"

If this ridiculous venom and hatred ruins Bioware or Mass Effect I will be so sad! The game is great! I'm having an amazing time playing. They don't deserve any of the shitstorm thrown at them.

Well, I wonder how you would feel if you were some "grunt" who worked at Bioware Montreal right now and the fan base was basically making a snap impression that could decide on whether or not you keep your job.

Really? You wish this forum would make the decisions on what to do next? Are you mad?!?!?

But anyway, I say leave it in Montreal and just get them some more/better animators, authors and maybe an actual game designer, who can be in charge of putting the pieces together in one cohesive whole. There is great potential in this game as I see it. The trick is gonna be to iron out the kinks specifically.

Imma let you in on a secret. If sales are good, EA won't care what the fanbase says anyway. They'll say "Wow! You made us $180,000,000! Get to work on the next one!". If they are bad, they will probably not invest in a new Mass Effect game.

Also, sales don't matter to fans. So if the numbers come out and MEA is a huge success, people hating on the game aren't going to say "Oh wow! I must have been wrong this whole time! The game just be really great because of sales even though I dislike it!" Fans don't care. So I think it's fine to see if people want the current studio to work on it again or a new one and why.

Ever heard of giving a person a second chance? The same principle applies to companies.

Mainly because it seems like Bioware Edmonton is too busy working on the new IP so who else does EA have that can work on RPGs?

I personally think Bioware Montreal can get another shot but just get rid of Mac Walters. Nothing I have seen from his work on ME3, Mass Effect: Foundation, or this game has impressed me. 

Get a capable creative director and dump Walters. Listen to feedback from this game and start again with a fresh vision.
