I went with the Pathfinder because I felt she'd be more important to the story than a few scouts. Turns out I was right and wrong, having the pathfinders are important, but this one in particular is irrelevant because she gets replaced. Typical paragon style choice, make the wrong decision but still get rewarded.

I chose the salarians because i couldn't care less about krogan, and the ME3 whitewash show only made me more biased. They bring nothing to the nexus except their dumb club-man warrior ways, they can rot on their dirtball planet for all i care.

Furthermore, the replacement for Raeka is terrible, just a ship captain thrown into the position at the last minute, Raeka is so much better both as a character and in competence. I also enjoy fighting behemoths a lot, reminds me of ME1 krogans.

Yup, strongest writing in the game for me. Drack is so angry, also after it on the Tempest. I did it after his loyalty mission, so I was afraid it would ruin our relationship. But the codex put in a different order, like 'Despite Drack not agreeing with your choice, he came around after you helped him'.

One of the harder choices, for sure. But after what so many of the Salarians went through on that ship, no way I was leaving more behind, AND the only surviving original Pathfinder. Krogan losses versus the Kett are/were really light up until that point, so yeah, sorry scouts.

This choice was the worst. Save Raeka and a few salarian survivors from being dissected alive or save Drack's scouts from being exalted into Behemoths. Ugh.

With deep sorrow, I chose the salarians. I had already made Vederia the Asari Pathfinder after what happened with Sarissa. It would have been too inconsistent for me not to have Raeka's back, especially since she saved Ryder's life earlier on in the mission. Plus, the salarian ark is a complete mess at that point. They need all the morale boosts and good leadership they can get.

Drack sure sent Ryder on an incredibly hardcore guilt trip for her trouble though. Yikes.

Man, I was doing it blind and had the luck to bring Drack with me. I'm sure that my Ryder was shitting on her pants in that moment.
I feel bad, but it'll be my canon choice anyway because too many salarian were killed. And I already gave the remnant core to Morda, so Drack doesn't have anything to complain.
Also, it's nice thing to do for Kallo, since I sided with Gil.
