Well started the game and yay I got no dialogue options visible at all. They're there but not visible. I tried the same fix as you because deleting the masseffectandromeda.exe also removed the ability to repair the game in Origin (how did you others do it??) and I have the same problem. The game won't show the shortened cues for the dialogue, just the backgrounds where the texts should be. I also noticed that when I go to graphics options, there are two sliders with no description in them. One of them is a "off/on"-slider, the other one "low/medium/high"-slider, but I can't see what they affect. + I didn't find the option to turn off motion blur or depth of field so I don't think I have them. This is so frustrating. I just wanted to play the game a bit before I go to bed, but apparently Bioware wanted otherwise. |

Close Origin. Run the MEA.exe in administrator mode. Worked for me.

Possible solution for those that the the game will not even launch. This will not work for those that gets any kind of error message or game launched then black screen.
My problem is that when I click play in Origin, it goes to cloud sync then nothing and the play button lights up again. Running the game shortcut or exe you get a spinning pointer for a sec then nothing.
I'm using Trend Micro Maximum Security AV software and it seems that it prevent the exe from running after the patch, no warning message, no asking if you want to let this program run. It just block the exe and soon as I disabled it. MEA launches fine.

So... the classic Bioware "break more than fix" patch? deleting the "patch" folder might resolve the issue. I'm installing now and hoping for the best. Apparently Addison's face is not tired anymore. EDIT: Works fine for me, had to install the new AMD display driver before that though. Im still using the 16.12.2 AMD Drivers and the game works fine even after the patch and if AMD would fix there drivers so Black desert wouldn't be a graphical mess Id download the new one  17. (Whatever) .(Whatever) in BDO |

Have you tried to just click play? It usually prompts Origin to download the exe if it can't find it. |

 I have these odd numbers (I would guess for quick key presses) that pop up during conversations. Anyone know how to turn them off? Also, alt tabbing the game keeps it in permanent windowed mode. No way to get it back to full screen. Wish I would have skipped patch anyway. My game was fine before it. |

correctamundo I've already re-installed the entire game. Downloaded the patch again. Still doesn't work. All drivers are up to date. Starting the game and/or Origin in Admin or Offline does nothing either combined or separate. Apparently repairing Director Allison's face was more dangerous than I thought. :srs:

Myself and a few others on Reddit seem to be having a catastrophic issue since the patch. After the patch installs the game won't launch, the executable loads to memory using 59Mb of RAM and then just sits idle (waited 10+ minutes and it refuses to load, despite the fact the .exe is running). Using Repair game didn't fix it, reboot, etc doesn't fix it. Game was loading fine yesterday and this morning before I installed the patch. You may want to not download the patch and play in offline mode to be safe... who knows how long this will take to fix If you have Nvidia and did NOT update your drivers yesterday, then thats your problem. Probably the same answer if you are running AMD. Di you even TRY before running straight to the internet and claiming BW screwed you over? Why does everyone refuse to listen to reason and just try things like updating their drivers before running naked down the hall screaming the zombies are attacking? Nothing wrong for me. Updated perfectly, and then NVIDIA notified me I had a new driver update, so I did that too and everything is running smoothly. This is almost very persons problem on here. When someone cries that it "worked fine yesterday" and the NEW Nvidia drivers came out yesterday, odds are they didnt update the vid drivers yesterday like they should have. |

You're a life saver, thank you. Did it work? Well, the only thing else I did was restart my PC. I deleted the files in Documents/Bioware/Mass Effect Andromeda and put my saves on the desktop. Turns out the saves we still stored on origin so I could delete the ones from my desktop because I looked in the folder and there were already there. Checked in game and I had the same saves. Then just deleted the extra copy. And yes, my game would not load before and it does now. |

Same issue black windowed screen of doom AGAIN. De installed cue to see if it was that funny joke again it wasnt.
updated my drivers no avail. this is getting so bad this is the second time i cant play this game AT all early acces was broken then i wait patiently to them to fix the eyes try to game and bam again dead game -.- im asking for a refund under law of none working products

Havent had any issue on PC since the patch but also didnt have any before the patch, not a single crash or technical issue in 140 hours of play. Sorry to hear others have them though.

Just got my first crash with the 1.05 - DX error or loading into Kadara slums. Zero crashes before that (and I've playd a lottle bit with the patch today in that location). Not sure what to make of it. Animations and stuff - it's all cool, but crashes are bad. 8(
