I have finally solved the problem of the black window and missing dialogue options. Here's what I did:

1- Deleted everything in the MEA folder, except the two .exe-files and the Data folder. Then on Origin, click Repair (it only downloaded less than 2GB)

After that the game finally opened, but another problem appeared, the missing dialogue options, so

2- Delete the two .exe files and then click Repair option on Origin, after that the dialogue options appeared.

Hope this helps someone facing the same problems

I reinstalled the game, and that fixed the missing dialogue options for me. Nothing else seemed to work. It definitely wasn't the most ideal option, but I wanted to play the game, but refused to do so without seeing what my Ryder was going to say. After reinstalling, the game launched normally, no black windows or anything.

I should know better after all the issues I had with DAI patches, but going forward, I will try to remember to do a game repair as soon as I install a new patch. I always have to do it anyway, and that will just save me the frustration of not being able to play beforehand. Just consider it part of the patch process, I guess.

I still have sound cutting out though - that part wasn't fixed.

I don't believe anymore.

I haven't been able to play since 1.05. I have 40 hours played with no errors before 1.05.

My game starts, but I have a few issues.

1. My main error is a Dir X error that says I don't have enough memory. Which is clearly not the case.

2. I can't enter any conversations without the game freezing and crashing due to Dir X error. My save is on the Tempest and I heard that the Tempest is one of the buggiest areas for some people.

3. I'm getting the "loading shaders" issue that makes loading at all take forever.

4. When I log into the Tempest, my game is now very laggy just walking around. Unfortunately there is a conversation cut scene waiting for me on the way to the navigation deck, so I can't even leave the tempest since I can't trigger conversations without crashes.

My drivers are up to date. I tried repairing the game and some other basic fixes people suggested but nothing works. I don't feel like uninstalling and reinstalling for the game to still not work since other people on the EA tech forums tried this.

I'm just not going to play until they repatch this game with a patch that makes the game playable as it was before they screwed with it. I'll even take the old eyes back - at least the game was playable.
