Yeah. BW has never really been big on being able to make pretty faces. Hell, I would give a female protagonist a shot if I was able to give her a Super model face, but I don't see that happening. LOL, I was happy enough with that one femShep preset that almost everyone used. The mouth was always just a little too big for the face, but I was happy enough. In MEA I find Cora and the Lexi Asari clone face to be fine, so BW can make a decent looking face when they want to. Just in the case of Sara I don't think they wanted to. Default Sara, I dunno maybe it is the lighting or my desire to actually play the game fooling me into it, but it seems like in the patch they softened up her features around the nose and cheekbones, she's not nearly as odd looking as she was at release to me. Some of the animations are still terribad and make her look like a fool but I doubt that will ever go away. If they could give me something as good as this: Or even let us use the old Sara, I would totally be fine with what we have. I don't need Scarlett Johansson, just something that doesn't make me cringe when it tries to smile. I know most people would be fine with that too. I am just a little more picky. |

I never thought Miranda's face was attractive at all, quite the opposite. I wonder if the love fest with her may have been the way that suit fit her more than anything else. It was like two sizes too small with her buns sticking out like torpedoes.  I've always found BW faces a little odd. Even the OT had a lot of the same issues with the female presets. Part of the problem now is with the improved graphical quality of MEA it just makes it a lot harder to ignore. I also firmly believe they did have a design goal of making the faces, I dunno since people can't hear the word 'ugly' without running for a safe space, we'll say plain. I've seen a few nice looking ones, the #1 preset can be made into a nice asian face, but I'm not terribly interested in that. #8 and 9 can be made acceptable if we had a decent skin tone to go with it. In fact I could probably be happy enough with what can be done with #9 if we had a pale or rosy skin tone but all the options are way too dark. Sure I'd still love to have the pre-Day 1 Patch Sara, but I doubt we'll ever see that. I'm kinda doubting we'll ever get a skin tone lighter than Swarthy Spaniard at this point too. Some of the human facial features and complexion I've seen in video reminds me of Neanderthals or early Homo sapiens with their hair sticking out like they just rolled out of the cave. The other species have such bland faces lacking coloration with dead eyes. Whatever look they were going for, it turned me away. |

And I checked out your deviantart page, and it is great! Your smirking Inquisitor is wonderful! How I wish I had any sort of artistic talent. But as the Robot Devil says I have what you would call stupid fingers, lucky I learned to master a belt buckle more or less drawing or playing an instrument. |

Its the swollen brows and puffy cheeks I think. |

I know most people would be fine with that too. I am just a little more picky. Guess I never had the reverse problem. MaleShep and Scott are both pretty good looking. Of course if they had just let me romance Jack and Cora to begin with I wouldn't have had to.  |
