Some notes though:
- It is in the world of Mass Effect at the time of leaving but Reapers aren't a thing - You are a civilian not a Pathfinder.
Personally I would, I have always loved the idea of traveling space to see new planets and galaxies (It was the one thing that I absolutely loved about No Mans Sky was having relatively unlimited freedom to go wherever you wanted).

While I love the idea, I'd miss my home and family too much to take that journey myself.
A very interesting question, though. Curious to see the results.

I might, but I doubt they would have me.
I'm an asexual, agendered, nerd who washes dishes for $10/hr in a crappy chain restaurant for a living. How in the hell would I be any use in establishing a new home for humanity? Sheesh, I barely have any use in THIS galaxy.
Anyway, a lot would depend if I could take my dog with me, and how much beer I could stash in my cryo-pod.

Personally I would, I have always loved the idea of traveling space to see new planets and galaxies (It was the one thing that I absolutely loved about No Mans Sky was having relatively unlimited freedom to go wherever you wanted). No. I'm all for exploration. So give me a good spaceship (as opposed to realistic spaceships, life on ME spaceships can be quite comfortable) and send me exploring the unexplored 97% of the MW for 20-40 years. Give me the opportunity to "look into the dark spaces" in search of new knowledge and wonders, to find new life and civilizations, unknown phenomena, even dangerous ones, that would very much excite me. In a completely self-sustaining spaceship, I might even go to Andromeda... ...but only as long as it didn't involve settling new planets. I'm not for colonization. I hate living in primitive conditions for any length of time.

Spend 600 years as popsicle to grow potato on Eos? Hell no, I'd rather go to Eden Prime for that. However if there were more interesting positions, like xenobiologist or ship-builder, something which is abundant in MW, but in the weight of gold in such expedition - could be tempting.

Sure would. I'm ready to leave this dumpster fire of a planet.
Only regret would be that I wouldn't get to finish reading A Song of Ice and Fire, but there was a chance that wasn't going to happen anyway.

The idea of recycling one's urine for hydration (which I assume is something they do) and the absolute lack of privacy don't sound very appealing, but I have very little to lose so HELL YES.

Maybe, but you'd have to do....farming (runs away) and produce a lot of children (runs even farther away). Actually, I would've found it interesting if MEA featured some more efficient way to reproduce, given that 20k people aren't really a lot to start a new civilization with, but of course that would be *way* to unconventional for Bioware. You know, for a studio with supposedly progressive political leanings, they can be surprisingly reactionary when it comes to life-science-related technology.

I sometimes get lost in modern progressive ideology. With ME tech level, if you don't want to form traditional family they could simply introduce, let's call it "dna tax". Give a sample, somebody else gives too - bam, new colonist now grows in some tank on Nexus. Whether you want to meet the "result" later or not is up to you.

Well you dont have to be a farmer you can always do something else so long as it contributes to the Initiative. Sorry but thats is an eventuality that everyone able (or willing) in the Initiative will have to face. Well if it wasn't for the damn Kett those numbers wouldn't be as much as a problem.
