The thing is, Bioware hasn't let players "tell their own stories" since the days of Neverwinter Nights. So there goes the single biggest benefit of a Skyrim-style open world. i suppose. But again to me RPGs have never been about telling my own story but the story of my character that's what i mean by collaboration. And every BW game has let me do that I've ever played. While I thought both DA:I and ME:A were not as good as some previous Bioware games, I'm glad they haven't gone the full sandbox "tell your own story" route. I have no interest in paying $60 to use my own imagination, which costs nothing. I buy games for other peoples' stories.

If theyre all fugly, especially the main female - who looks NOTHING like her model. Sure seems to look like her to me, once you strip away the photoshop and makeup. I mean, which particular version of Jayde Rossi do you want: (All from www.instagram.com/jaydekat/?hl=en)Top tip: Images are manipulated, especially modelling shoots. When you get older, you'll understand this. Edit: Can't forget you: Compare how closely Scott resembles his model, to how little Sara resembles hers

This paragraph says a lot about your viewpoint of the world to be honest. I'll take your reams of witcher musings with a pinch of salt. *snort* The same goes for you comrade. You had to go straight for the Communist card. I don't see a single thing about Cora that is butch. She has a feminine voice, a feminine demeanor (the way she walks, she doesn't walk like some butch). She has a porn star ass. She has tits and her armor is body-tight just like her space ship casual wear is feminine and not baggy like most butchs would wear. So just because she has short hair she's a lesbian? Her hair is more along the style of Pink the singer than anything else. And Pink is straight. www1.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/40th+American+Music+Awards+Arrivals+ti7GUtsqB-6l.jpgSo I don't get how Cora is some SJW conspiracy to foil the male gaze. Hell, her entire sex scene IS MALE GAZE. The camera constantly pans to her porn star ass, Scott caresses it, then she gets naked and we get more shots at that perfectly sculpted ass, and then it pans up to her naked, also fairly conventionally attractive body. So please explain to me how Cora is Bioware spitting in the eye of straight fans. In Mass Effect Andromeda, straight Scott Ryder had by far the greatest amount of romanceable squadmates, the greatest amount of HUMANOID romanceable squadmates, and attarctive options to boot. Straight women had the hideous raver wannabe that is Liam, and an NPC made with character creator (Reyes). Female love interests had different body types. All the men in Andromeda have the exact same copy paste body type with clothes that aren't even flattering to their bodies. You could make an argument about Cassandra Penteghast but Cassandra has always been a tomboy, and you had Josephine as a more stereotypically feminine romance.

The appearance of women is preaching idealogy? Wtf? If theyre all fugly, especially the main female - who looks NOTHING like her model, despite evidence of her previous in game appearance actually looking attractive, only to be beaten with an ugly stick... Meanwhile, male Ryder looks very close to his handsome model counterpart. Combined with the ugly faces of all in-game females in CC, an agenda becomes very clear. They've desexualized females in the game - (Coras ass can't hide that fact, as her but butterface ruins the appeal). The default Sara Ryder is a gorgeous girl who you would love to date if she'd give you the light of day. Don't give me this 'fugly' nonsense. Also, did you see vonuber's post? She looks a lot like her model. Hell, even her fucking smile looks like Sara's in game smile. What drugs are you on and in what kind of fantasy land do you live where the default Sara is ugly? I don't think they've desexualised women in the game. Quite a ludicrous thing to say even with full nudity and space banging with women who have perfect bodies. Though 'desexualised' sounds fucking horrible to be honest, as if women only matter when they are super hot. Btw, I made this Sara in that CC you claim makes only 'desexualised' women. But surely, in your world where you're surrounded by super models, that's just 'fugly' and 'desexualised', right?

I seem to remember that I wrote that I actually have no problem with Cora's looks. So this rant seems rather redundant. You did call her 'butch' though, which is like 50% of his post. Nice evade though, kudos, almost had to say something substantial there but you got out of it!

Yeah, she does seem like a bit of a butch. Mainly the unfortunate haircut. I still have no complaints about her. (well, not beyond the frozen face that didn't do her any favors, but that's not a problem particular to her)
Take a deep breath my friend, you seem agitated for some reason.
You decided to ignore most of his post that was directed at you and at something you said, thus you evaded everything said to you. Merely an observation, if you think I get agitated by your posts I'm going to have to disappoint you. Most make me laugh to be honest. Not because they are funny though.

I doubt many guys wanna bang a drill sergeant and then be forced to drop and give her 20 afterwards for using poor form.

Yeah, there's no denying the CC is limited as all hell. And I say that as someone who (before playing the game) thought it didn't look too bad from the pre-release footage. Once I got my hands on it, I quickly changed my mind, and it's DEFINITELY one of the weakest points of ME:A, in my opinion.
You can fairly easily make a decent looking female Ryder, from presets 1, 5, 8 and 9, and I've seen a few preset 3's that did a DAMN good job considering the preset wasn't...well, the greatest. Preset 9 is a weird one. You can make decent looking Ryders from it, but every one I tried wound up animating terribly, and I mean worse that DefaultSara, in my opinion.

She was supposed to be the next humman pathfinder, she has a military background, and now you the young guy with no prior experience seemingly usurped her position. What did you expect, some sweet honey talk from her? I mean, does ANY characetr in the game even talk to you like that? The closes I can recall is Suvi. I guess we'll disagree about the face. I think very few people would have complained if she had had long hair.

Hell we seem to generally get along despite having differing opinions to boot. Yes we do. We love Bioware in our own way. Some are more forgiving, some are more critical, but ultimately... Bioware is the source of three of my beloved franchises. Mass Effect, Dragon Age and Fallout. Yes, Fallout... it was done under Black Isle, a subsidiary of west coast Bioware hires. Saddest day to see that close.

I just have to say this article is amazing to me, well-thought out points and I feel it conveys correctly the problems Andromeda had. I hope the devs (I'm sure they have) have seen this. Better than I could have said myself!!!
