FemShep and Garrus and be a Vanguard (maybe it's not the best in ME1, but it compensates in ME2 and absolutely in ME3)
Infiltrator is also good in ME1 and so on. Great with roleplaying vibe (Butcher of Torfan for example)
Engineer is one of my personal favourites tho. Nerdpowah

This hurts me.  SAM is physically located on Hyperion and keeps a connection with the Pathfinder through implants, I assume the other Arks/Nexus have their own AIs also connected to their Pathfinders. Using AI to regulate/automate stuff on the Arks/Nexus during the cryostasis makes sense, similar to Vigil/Victory, tho they were VIs. It's possible that the other AIs are actually VIs but Alec/Ellen improved SAM specifically turning it into AI, or the Arks/Nexus simply required a more powerful automated system thus the use of AI instead of VI. It appears to me S.A.M. is able to manipulate Ryders body and also monitors everything Ryder sees does and even feels. Whether through implants or not, doesn't matter. Bioware just took it way too far by allowing that thing into the main characters body. In my view, Ryder is an idiot if (s)he lets that happen, so that kinda destroys the main character for me. Regulating stuff on the nexus doesn't require implants up your ass. I disagree, storytelling-wise, that would be a great final conflict for the end of this game or the next one. Also, let's remember we are not the only ones with that implant, 4 other pathfinders had it. If there is a real connection with SAM and our mother, maybe we are the only one not affected by that kind of control. But at the end we have to do something about it. |

Liam. It seems like he has a great personality and I look forward to getting to know him. I hope he has some edge and arrogance to him. Kaidan, Jacob and James were all kind of samey Mr. Nice Guys. Never did anything out of line. That's what I liked about Jack and Sera. They were their own person and did exactly what they wanted. I hope to see more of that kind of attitude from our companions. This "it has to feel right" thing irks me to no end. How could it not feed into stereotypes on way or the other? In real life, there are all kinds of non-straight people, just as there are all kinds of straight people. People aren't the way they are because "it feels right", it's just random. Maybe they should just flip coins to determine squadmate sexuality or something, honestly, because it might be better than them picking themselves  If I was doing the picking, I'd try to make sure each group got some diversity in terms of type of character/romance compared to previous games, because then I'd at least be doing something positive. For instance, the first thing that comes to mind is that so far there have been no gay knights in shining armour of either gender, or bi ones. And there have been quite a few games. Can we let the gay guys and girls have an Alistair or a Cullen? Maybe even a Cassandra or Aveline? Since the leaks say that Jaal is gonna be a romance option for guys, too, I'm really hoping he ends up being a knight-esque figure. From the 0.2 seconds we've seen of him, I'm getting a serious vibe from him? Which is already really different from most bi/gay men we've seen in previous games, if I'm remember correctly. Fenris was super-serious, but, definitely not a knight-in-shining-armor. Steve was... friendly, and good guy, but a non-combatant, so, not quite a knight-in-shining-armor. Also, dead husband. And if Vetra pulls through as an option for Sara, she could definitely be the Cassandra/Aveline-type character. I mean, Turians are basically the Soldier Species, ya? ( wasn't it said that pb and vetra have an interesting relationship?) ( wasn't there also something that implied poly-esque relationships?) ( i'm not saying i'm just saying.) I hope The Archon is an antagonist, but not necessarily the villian. I'll explain myself better: I hope he is an antagonist in the sense he will be against us. But maybe he is like the president of the Kett, or the intergalactic chief of security (Turian First Contact war style), etc. and he is doing his job protecting kett space. Maybe the theocratical religious villain ( commandercryptarch pointed out) is another kett, like the one who appears "floating in the air" in the first cinematic trailer: But maybe it's just my desire for something complex to be true. I would love also to have our father or our sibling as antagonists too so... |

I actually don't think that there is a 7th squadmate anymore. And I am not certain that the squaddie classes will fit into the traditional classes given the new system. That being said, if they do fit into them, I'm going to say: Cora - adept Liam - engineer Pee Bee - sentinel Vetra - infiltrator Drack - vanguard Jaal - soldier Although I suppose that a few of these could get moved around. Maybe Vetra and Liam could swap. Maybe Drack and Jaal could swap (have we seen any indication that Jaal is a biotic?). Maybe Pee Bee is actually a vanguard. I would swap Drack and Jaal in order to break any similarity between Drack and Wrex (who was a Vanguard) However... Grunt was pretty much a Soldier too so... I guess it doesn't matter  |
