...when Peebee asks for help to clean her place Drack: "Think I left the stove on." Liam: "I'm making ice." Jaal: "It's an angaran holiday." Cora: "Reports don't file themselves." Vetra: "Helping Liam make ice."... Omg how could I have forgotten that one?! When Liam said he was making ice I literally laughed out loud. Then when Vetra said she was gonna help him I died.

So far, the equipable item kits are as follows: - Juggernaut Shield: +75% melee damage; +10% shields (total of +85% bonus stats).
- Adaptive War Amp: +15% biotic damage.
- Engineering Kit: +15% tech powers.
- Combatives Upgrade: +10% AR and pistol/smg damage.
I have a really hard time justifying equipping anything other than the Juggernaut Shield. It has a total of +85% worth of increases, both offensive and defensive. Other kits should be brought up a bit to get somewhat close to that level. My suggested changes: - Adaptive War Amp: +25% biotic damage and duration; +15% biotic power recharge.
- Engineering Kit: +25% tech damage and duration; +15% tech explosion damage.
- Combatives Upgrade: +25% AR, pistol/smg, and shotgun damage; +25% reload speed.
Currently, power damage is laughable when compared to sniper and melee damage, so a 25% power damage increase would not make power builds overpowered. Additionally, giving the other equippable kits a decent buff would make them a viable alternative to the Juggernaut Shield and also give power based classes more viability and individuality.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
Combativbes can't give a 25% boost, weapons are as overpowered as is compared to powers. Keep the 10% modifier, but also make it increase clip size by 25% and weight capacity by 50%. This will allow for usage by certain kits like vanguards who don't get weight capacity in their builds to be able to equip a piranha instead of a pistol/SMG without hurting their power recharge. Currently, snipers are overpowered, not all weapons. Weapons in general are weak if you remove snipers from the pool. That's why I suggested Combatives apply to AR, pistols/smgs, and shotguns. The game really needs balancing, but if real balancing isn't going to happen, at least item kits should be able to remedy some of the issues.

The lighting adjustment when transitioning from a light to dark area or visa versa is supposed to represent real life pupils dilating or constricting. But I do agree it's annoying in-game.

I agree with you. I prefer classes. Not having classes, for me, does not lead to replayability. What stopped you from playing a single class? I never understand this complaint. I played Vanguard all game, only switched profiles once to Explorer to see what it was. . Self control to stick with one class is a big part of it. It also hurts an rpg imo for one person to fill all roles. Certain dialogue can be affected by your class as well. And imo, the character loses individuality and uniqueness when it's "Ryder, the Everything" as opposed to "Ryder the Engineer", or "Ryder, the Vanguard", etc. I made a poll on the subject and I'm honestly really surprised at the results so far. I figured the majority of rpg'ers would prefer classes but I was apparently wrong (at least based on the answers from this forum). So you're definitely not alone in enjoying the jack-of-all-trades profile system. The poll is here if you're interested. I, however, prefer set classes. I guess it has a lot to do with playing older rpg's and mmo's like Everquest, where specific roles did specific things. It's important to remember though, that neither of us are more right or wrong than the other...we just have different opinions.

Pretty much what we got minus the profiles. I miss specific classes tbh. Not a fan of the jack-of-all-trades thing where everyone can be everything.

I really don't see the difference between this, and the info we have by pressing pause.
edit: After reading comments below, it seems to me that people just want to see Ryder lift his/her arm before going into the pause menu. The only thing the pause menu really needs is the addition of Tempest stuff (email accessibility, strike team, etc). Aside from those things...we already have everything we need in the pause menu. I don't see what this omni-tool animation would add...other than an extra animation.
The only difference between the current pause menu and the picture in the op, is that we don't see Ryder lift his/her arm like in Fallout/Dead Space.

Often when I pause the game, loot a container, or exit a dialogue cutscene, my mouse pointer stays visible on the center of the screen. I have to pause the game and move the mouse to a corner then unpause for it to go away (sometimes takes multiple repositionings before it actually goes away). I've tried turning off the screen overlay in Origin, but that didn't seem to have any effect. Is anyone else having this issue and/or know a way to fix it permanently? That happened to my when I started to use a Reshader. If that's the same case for you, start Andromeda directly as administrator (or give the exe administrator rights). That solved it for me. I'm not using Reshader, but I'll try giving the exe admin privileges to see if that solves the issue. edit: Administrator privileges didn't fix it unfortunately.

I really prefer that Liam model over the stereotypical "dreads" we got. I expected him to be more like Garrus (or a less boring Jacob) after his weapons explanation in the Andromeda Initiative thing on their website.
The actual Liam can be funny at times, but I feel they made him too childish.

I use CheatEngine to get rid of environmental hazards. I don't consider it cheating because it actually makes more sense to me. We have the technology of the year 2185 and are able to traverse entire galaxies, but we haven't figured out how to deal with cold whether? That makes no sense.

...My second conceptual issue is overall seriousness of the theme and casual approach to it by Mr. Frazier. I don't think it is appropriate and does not seem to be well done based on what people say, this thread including. You've got to be very gifted and spend a lot of polish time to create something M*A*S*H* style and even MASH is barely walking a fine line while Meda is just half-arsed bad attempt. So, I'm really very reluctant to even try based on my own grim experience during the first hour. It just depreciates the genre, story and anything too much giving out too little... People deal with adversity in different ways. We've already had three games with Shepard: The stoic, grizzled, experienced, military minded soldier. Now we have Ryder, the not-so-stoic, military guy/girl. Ryder deals with things differently than Shepard. Where Shepard was mostly serious and boring, Ryder tries to throw some humor into situations (albeit not always good humor, I admit). Ryder grows as the story progresses. He/she was thrown into a position of leadership when the current pathfinder passed. In the beginning, Ryder is very green, but by the end of the story, Ryder is a strong leader with a loyal team. They still crack jokes here and there to ease tension and form bonds, but humor is a coping mechanism for many people irl. Just look at the current situation in the US for example: Comedians and late night talk show hosts joke about Donald Trump constantly. They do this largely because they feel they're in a hopeless situation so they use humor to cope. Lastly, you said " I don't think it is appropriate and does not seem to be well done based on what people say". To that I say: Try it yourself and form your own opinion. There was a ton of hate and bandwagon jumping when the game was released. It was popular to voice negative opinions of the game and people enjoyed being a part of that echo chamber. The game isn't perfect, but it's far from a bad game. It's huge, immersive, has interesting characters, you get to see the galaxy change because of actions you made (settlements, environmental changes, Nexus progress and Arks attached to it, etc), the combat is fun, the worlds are beautiful and very varied, etc. My advice to you is to give it an honest and unbiased try. Don't go into the game thinking you're going to hate it because you've heard it's bad. That mindset often leads to self-fulfilling prophecy.

Complete freedom of powers is BS. I just picked my 3 fave power I can chain combo, a dash of passives, and now all these other levels I'm gaining are meaningless. So the motivation to level up is now gone too. Bravo, BioFail. Not true. Many percentage bonuses from passives continue to increase based on how many points you have invested in a particular tree. Example: With only the first level of OFFENSIVE BIOTICS, there is a 2% increase to biotic damage however; with a maxed BIOTICS tree (252 points invested), that 2% becomes 40%. So maxing a specific skill doesn't mean you've hit a brick wall in terms of progression. You don't truly hit that "brick wall" until you've completely maxed the tree. Many of the COMBAT and TECH passives work the same. So weapon/grenade damage will continue to climb until you've completely maxed the COMBAT tree; and TECH powers will continue to improve until you've maxed the TECH tree. Also keep in mind that profile bonuses are multiplying your already multiplied stats.

A day in the life of suikoden: Sleep restlessly, dream of ME3 ending. Wake up, sweaty and distraught. Google for anything Mass Effect/Bioware related with a negative opinion. Post on the BSN. I guess. I loved ME3 and the ending, while you're just a troll with nothing of substance to say that plays bball. Feel free to read the article if you feel the need to post - either that, or keep working on your crossover. As a side note, I guess I'm actually an undead superhero and you're three metrosexual anime dudes?

Ok this is getting quite hilarious actually. The reviews for Andromeda were mostly fair and deserved but the press is literally releasing 2nd batch of mostly-negative reviews for clicks When was all this professionalism and criticism when FO4 released? I agree. It really is getting old.

I'd also love to figure out how to increase my xp so I get out of that 61-71 augment glitch, and increase clip size on a couple of weapons... For some reason I'm not finding a link to the table I currently use, but I did find this. Seems to have similar options to the one I use, but I haven't tested it so I can't confirm it works.

This is the point, and the part that makes the in-game description accurate. Could you nuke a shielded Ascendant and kill him? Seems likely. That being the case, "most weapons" are ineffective is an accurate description. If they'd said all weapons, we'd have a thread about an army of "Invincible Ascendants Conquering Andromeda". The clear intent of the description is that our small arms aren't going to penetrate the barrier. Shoot the orb, OP. There are actually two sentences in the tooltip. The second sentence mentions shooting the orb to make the Ascendant vulnerable. The first sentence is still incorrect since it reads " Ascendant's barrier renders him impervious to most weapons". The fact, it seems, is that the barrier renders an Ascendant impervious to all weapons a character can carry. I was just wondering if I had missed some game mechanic that involved destroying the barrier with brute force instead of destroying the orb. The tooltip should read: " Ascendant's barrier renders him impervious to weapons". That would be a more accurate description.

I just saw a tooltip that read: "Ascendant's barrier renders him impervious to most weapons." Has anyone found a weapon that can bypass the barrier? I always shoot the orb until the barrier drops, but the tooltip reads "most" weapons.
Have I missed something or is this just an inaccurate tooltip?

Saving Barrier, Barrier Drain, and better mobility make the Human Vanguard superior. If Kroguard had access to Barrier, I'd give the nod to Kroguard because Barrier + Fortify would be Godly.
But as it stands, Human Vanguard and Asari Duelist are the best Vanguards because of access to Barrier (Saving Barrier and Barrier Drain).
