I'd recommend playing as (a custom) Sara. Alternatively, you may find the default good-looking enough to keep her, like me. Definitely going for CC with Scott.

@op:
I'm about 80 hours into the game so far and I've really enjoyed it. The character interaction is really stellar at times though I personally can't stand Liam. If you liked ME:1, then you'll enjoy ME:A as they feel very similar. So, to answer your question, I'd say it's worth buying. Also, search around a bit as you can find some good deals if you want to buy a digital download version.

My suggestion? If you can play the trial version on Origin, if it's still available, do that. Then decide for yourself. My personal answer? Yes. Get it. But I'd only get the Super Deluxe if you're interested in the MEA multiplayer. I know a lot of people blast Origin for the client and it deserves the criticism on that front. However, Origin customer support is really good. I'm impressed with them compared to Steam, Ubisoft (my username with those dingbats is LosinPatience) and Microsoft. Microsoft always has dial-tone issues and the same nice guy from Calcutta named Steve. (It's a joke, but truthy.)

Even having serious gripes with this game. The value in playing hours of amusement still leaves Bioware a top favorite. So, if it is on sale I would say yes.

I was ready to buy ME: Andromeda at launch (I don't preorder, even if it means that I'll pay full price 1 day later) but the first gameplays I saw made me raise an eyebrow (I always watch gameplays before buying a game and I must say I did agree with some of the critics even before they were spoken out). However, I also enjoyed the actual gameplay, so I went for the proper critics/reviewers and...well...and we all know what happened. So I didn't buy it. Even though I put ME:A aside and went on other games, I heard (who didn't?) that it has received a lot of patches; plus it's on sale right now So, is it worth getting after all the patches? Does anyone know if there'll be more patches (aka is there anything else left to be fixed)? And finally, is the deluxe version worth getting? Thanks in advance F#ck yeah it does. I bought it day 1 sterted 3 weeks ago. Its good and the faults are way overblown. i find the dialogue and the voice acting really good. Most other AAA games out there have way worse dialogue and acting. Also the animations are good enough.

I liked the game very much, ran through it twice, started third. It's fun. Then, again, I played it from Day 1, and was like: "Bugs? What bugs?" I am on PC, so consoliers might have had a rougher ride.

Now that the patches have fixed some of the worst issues I would say yes but I would try getting it on sale. It's fun in places but it's too grindy for me to really love it.

I am on PC, so consoliers might have had a rougher ride. I played at day one on Xbone and I never really had any wierd bugs that was spread on the web. I only say one dude at the cryo bay having his head doing 360's. Other than that, no bugs, just Addison face was hilarious the first time I saw it. It's a good game seriously. No, it will not revolutionnize your life or your way of thinking of behaving in public, it won't be your next Holy book, as some extreme anti-bioware/ME is dead/else haters expected from that game. Reviews from serious websites range from 7/10 to 8/10, wich seems a fair note for Andromeda.

For maximum entertainment, get the game, and then come in here either foaming at the mouth about how terrible it is, or giving it slavishly positive reviews. Either approach will light up part of the fanbase. The best part is watching people pretending to be emotionally detached.

You can get it for half off, so go for it. I think it's one of those love/hate things though. You're either going to play it a bunch of times and get your money's worth, or you're going to put it down after one playthrough or less and not.

If you're a Mass Effect fan, then definitely. I just started another playthru and with the patches the game is respectable. Not best game ever or anything, but well worth the 70 bucks I paid for it.

After reading all the opinions in this thread I think that ME:A is on a par with what happened to Assassin's Creed: Unity. I finished it just yesterday and I really enjoyed the game but I could clearly see why people disliked it so much at launch. If I'd got it at launch I'd hate it too. And even though Ubisoft had patched the game the black stain remained. As they say, it is the first impression that counts, IMO publishers/devs/whoever is in charge should start paying more attention to it

If you are expecting anything like the MET games you won't be happy. If you are looking for a decent game at a good price and don't mind some audio/graphics glitches and poor story telling then yes the game is worth the price. Combat, even though it becomes very repetitive, can be enjoyable.

The game is good. Worth a buy in my opinion.
I played the game from day one (yes unpatched to refer to another thread), and have a lot of fun with it. I do not have that much time on my hands, but nevertheless the game soaked up 300h+ for me, so it was worth it's price.
