When do you think Mass Effect will finally return?

I can't blame you for being bitter about ME:A though, the game really did have a lot of flaws, even though I liked the game and the characters. (For the most part)

They are projecting a 2018 release for Anthem, so assume late 2018 or early 2019. If they pick up Mass Effect after that, 2023 sounds possible, maybe a little early.

Unless someone comes up with a premise that blows away some focus group I would say it's not coming back. If they decide to bring it back, whatever they put out is going to have to sell on its own. People pre-ordered and bought Andromeda at launch based on their love of the OT. They aren't going to get as much on the front in next time, so whatever they come up with is going to have to have some longevity. It will be a risk for EA/Bioware.

I suppose! There have been a couple of canceled games, too.

Probably not until 2022 at the earliest, Anthem releases in 2018, DA4 is probably going to release around 2020-2021, so 2022 is the earliest imo plus they're probably going to want to do a reboot rather than continue with Andromeda. And then you have to take into consideration the massive amount of backlash that MEA and the ending of ME3 received, it's honestly better to just let the hate die down a bit before they jump back into things.

Probably never in RPG form. But that's okay because there's comics that don't sense and novels that make less sense.

Yeah, they would probably make it one of the best Sci-Fi RPG of the generation instead of an embarrassing mess that will serve as a cautionary tale of what not to do, can't have that now.

Mass Effect needs to be in the hands of competent developers who crank out GOTY masterpieces every three years.

I really can't argue that the series as a whole is the best Sci-Fi rpg as a whole but is it really hard to believe that a developer like CD:PR with a bigger crew and potentially a bigger budget could put out a better version of Mass Effect even for white knights like yourself?

CD:PR put $80 mil towards TW3 and it shows. ME:A put $40 mil and it also shows. And IMO CD:PR has had far better success with the way they deal with decisions in the game.
