Better yet. Cerberus isn't indoctrinated by the reapers. They help Shepard defeat the reapers. Shepard and Cerberus will be looked as the saviors of the galaxy. Later, the Alliance leadership is removed to work in the custodian arts field while the rest of the Alliance merges with Cerberus. See... you are so in love with Cerberus that you'll let TIM screw Shepard over and repeatedly try to kill you and your team at least 3 times in ME2; and rather than get upset about it, you'll climb right into bed with them. As I said... no balls. And what would have happened if Shepard dump Cerberus to go back to the Alliance? Nothing. Cerberus has a ship that Shepard could have used. Alliance doesn't or at least anything like the SR2. How would Shepard get hold of the IFF needed to get to the galactic core? Cerberus has the information on where to get the IFF. What does the Alliance have? Nothing.

Hey becareful due to potential Slaanesh influence. For Slaanesh encourage naughtiness to the extreme I think that accounts for 90% of the Mass Effect fanbase. true and my mild leather fetish encourage my fandom of Phantom.

Okay I found this video the Shepard in this video is a bit of an asshole, but it illustrates how Ashley comes off as compared to liara.

I can see that happening since the dumba**es locked him/her up for 6 months because of stupid crap instead of having Shepard use those 6 months to find a way to stop the reapers.

Up to that point Shepard was leading Ashley on. Doesn't help that Bio didn't have the flirting dialogue separate from the casual ones but still...

That way, you won't get ninjamanced by them.

Interesting about the Williams/t'soni dialogue in ME1. Never had that happen. But I'm curious what the dialogue would be between the three of them in ME3 if Shepard were to tell Ashley the asari played a role in Cerberus having Shepard's corpse plus how she had Shepard's armor on display like it was some prize.

His lines about her being easy on the eyes and "just appreciating art". The only way for him to not say that last one is if you're pursuing him as a romance. I'm with you. The way he says it is squicky.

The intense hatred for a core character of Mass Effect here's so bizarre to me as someone who's not taken part in this community going on ten years it's a real weird vibe honestly.

This is rather gentle compared to how the official BSN was...down to flash mobs appearing if you said something negative about a character they liked.

Yeah I remember actually.
I preferred that honestly.
It's entertaining, making your fourth consecutive post today about how much you can't stand "X" character(s) just sad, by comparison.

I don't have hatred for Ashley in my first playthrough I saved her on Virmire. In my second playthrough I saved Kaidan. I just did not like how she acted in that scene especially since I was only friendly towards her so the scene came by surprise.

Are you saying it's not weird to dig up your friend's body and hand it over to a terrorist organization? I assume you're talking about Liara, anyway.

Apprepro to a previous version of this conversation it is worth pointing out that, yes while BioWare may be rather crap at writing the military side of military science fiction, the Normandy being lost for 2 years really isn't a good example of that. Consider how long the Titanic, the Indianapolis, or the Carriers that hit Midway were missing and how many decades until they were discovered. And this is just one planet and not a galaxy way away and well the Normandy was in a part of said galaxy that wasn't normally frequented by the Alliance.

With Steve, there's no way for a male Shepard to tell him outright if Shepard is only into women, so if you help him out enough that you get the invitation for drinks, he will always comment about there being an "energy" in the bar and about "graceful dancing." Shepard can then use the line that he likes watching the dancing on the stage.... at which point Steve will always interpret that as Shepard being straight and the conversation will become focused on being just a good friend.
The only other awkward line with Steve is in the conversation where you're telling him to take a break. You can avoid it by not using the blue paragon choice and selecting the "that's an order" line instead. I believe you can even select the option where you leave the choice up to him and you'll still be able to find him in Normandy's docks and progress with helping him. I think that some players are "afraid" to use these lines because they fear that they're "not nice"; but sometimes being "nice' means just avoiding sending out a wrong signal, too.
The romances in ME3 are easily managed since all of the invites that lock them in stay "open" until just after Thessia (and by then you will have collected them all). All you have to do then is talk to your chosen LI first and the rest will be locked out at that point.
Oh oh, I was nice to Steve I really felt for the guy. But my Shepard is straight and is in a romance with Liara. I really don't want to hurt his feelings but my Shepard is attracted to Liara. I think I'm not sure when I asked Steve to take Shore Leave I clicked on the blue option. Did that lock me in? When I first met Liara on Mars she told me it's been a year and if I wanted to continue. Since I was loyal to her throughout ME2 I said yes. So how do I let the guy down gently? No, you're not locked until unless you accept his proposition while having a drink with him in Purgatory. As I said, you can indicate to him that Shepard is effectively straight by just saying you prefer the dancing on the stage (which are asari). Alternatively, you can wait for Liara's meetup invitation on the Citadel and just lock in to her romance first... then go have drinks with Steve and that conversation will not include any option to express romantic interest in him.

Shepard could acquire the IFF, tell Cerberus to F-off, and take everything to the Alliance to convince them to send him into the Omega 4 relay instead. As I said, Shepard has no balls to turn his/hrr back on Cerberus. Bioware wrote ME2 with Shepard being Cerberus' jailhouse patsy. TIM screws Shepard over multiple times and Shepard hardly bats an eye about it... just keeps coming back to get screwed over again and again.
