Seesh we have a 10 page thread over brothels?! We really need to get some news quickly. Not really. Devolved into whether the female characters are hot enough for the male players and whether or not Bioware went woke or caters to women more now than they used to. And ya know what, fucking great if they do. Who else has? You know where else I get these sort of storylines? Niche visual novels. So, in other words, the thread devolved into another stupid and pointless culture war.

I'm kinda... I dunno, bummed? about the companions being downplayed combat wise. Don't get me wrong, them being important story-wise is great and amazing, but I like pimping them out for combat as well. Again, it's one of the ME things I always wished they'd take after DA rather than the reverse. It's not a big deal for sure, I guess I'm just a control freak that likes to micro manage everything lol. Forget that, let me have all the powerful weapons. They'll be the bullet sponges lol.

The important thing is how well the difficulties are balanced. ME2 was near perfect for me. I usually start on default and almost always manage fine. ME1 was my first shooter and I died even on Easy, lol. And I never ventured above Normal. Now ME2 had me bump it up every new PT. I could eventually do the second most difficult. Insanity just wasn't fun so I didn't bother but I think it was scaled well. Now DAI on Normal felt like previous BioWare games on Easy. Zero challenging. Mind numbingly boring. That was poor design imo. Normal should not be this easy. But I assume Nightmare is challenging so that's fine I guess. I just didn't care for combat in DAI so I didn't bother making stuff more bullet spongey. A good learning curve is satisfying. And BioWare ain't making Dark Souls. I would guess that most fans don't play their games for the combat challenge. Can be a part of it but I don't think BioWare attracts any of those hardcore gamer snobs who don't realize how pathetic it is to build your self worth on how well you play a stupid videogame. Kinda makes me wish they get arthritis as they age or a disability and then they'll finally appreciate story mode. Many aging gamers, especially RPG fans, I know play an casual mode now. Exactly I'm no tagainst people like difficul tgames as that's why games like Dark Souls an d lden Ring exist as they are games for people wh olike tha tsort of thing. Bioware doesn' tmake games lik etha tand never have their games are mostly about telling a good story with interesting companions that join you alon gthe way. Yes the games have combat but they are games that happen to have combat along the way rather than be a game centred around it. The Dark Souls and Elden Rin ggames as nea ras I ca ntell from what little I hav eplayed and tried the yseem mostl yabout comba tand the stor yseems somewhat secondary in their games s oalmost the complete opposite. The only thing they have in common with Bioware's games is they're both part of the RPG genre. But outside o that they're entierly different There's a reason why Souls games before Elden Ring were considered niche. It's good to have difficult games but people want to have a more casual approach to games lol.

Sucks that Issac isn't playing Snake but I'm not sure if this movie will be launched anytime soon.

Modding for STALKER: Legends of the Zone dropped and it’s awful. For the PS4/PS5, you can’t edit scripts nor config parameters nor even import new models which removes 75% of all STALKER mods! Sony has an incredibly backwards attitude toward mods not realizing that modding extends the longevity of a game and makes it attractive to a wider audience. Asshats the lot of them. They don't want to see rule 34 mods to TLOU.

Souls games except for Elden Ring were always sort of niche despite being popular among gamers. Sill hopefully Stellar Blade comes to Xbox.

The only complaints I’ve seen about the combat system is that it’s not like BG3 lol.

Are healing spells returning? Yes, Bellera , Harding and Rook were confirmed to have access to healing. Interesting to see rogues have healing of some sorts. Wondering what it is.

I just went to Steam looking for something and ended up reading a lot of "anti-woke" rubbish. Now I'm once again sad, mad and frustrated that people are like this. Some people apparently won't buy the game because one of the directors is a transwoman. If they think Dragon Age is "woke" wait until they find out about BG3.

Lol. Tha article praises the art style changing from grimdark to whimsical Fable-esque style. That's going to be controversial. Although that mostly seems to be Arlathan Forest. The only thing that did grimdark fine was Warhammer in my mind. Whimsical feels more fitting for Dragon Age for me.

Maybe it’ll be like NWN2, where your companions may betray you depending on how much they like you. Me after lowering my companions' approval level to the point where they attack me:

You know if Solas just told Varric his plan, perhaps things would've been a lot different. But instead, he sounded callous treating mass death as trivial which makes me believe that Solas is no better than the Elven Gods he rebelled against. The Inquisitor had many opportunites to change his perspective but he still trudged through with his plan that would kill millions.
