While I loved my Shepards, I think there's nowhere left for them to go. I mean, what do you do after saving the entire galaxy? Go to Disney World? I think Shepard and friend paid enough of a price and deserve to retire to just do their own thing.
I really do like my Ryders and would love to see them grow, but that looks like it won't happen, unfortunately.
I don't think the problem is that it's a new story with new protagonists. I like the game, but I think there are too many shortcuts taken and it shows. I don't know if it's EA pushing them to finish the product and get it out there, or just something on Bioware's side, but they could have done a lot better if they'd had more time and more thought into the whole thing.
Usually these things come down to the powers that be and the top leaders. I think a fresh perspective from someone new might help move the Ryders forward.

For me it worked without having to start a new game. I guess it's one of those bugs that doesn't hit everyone then. I couldn't get it in mine. Yup. I just tried and it's not available to me.

I am missing something. I have a Deluxe Edition. I updated the game when the patch came out. I can't find the new outfit for either Sara or Scott. Where is it hiding? Special delivery on the Tempest in your quarters by SAM. Ahh. Thanks. I didn't think to check there.

This is my second play through. First one was pre patch. And yes, I'm seeing bugs. I never had encountered much before, but now I'm getting a lot of game freezing when I try to talk to NPCs for quests. So I have to leave and reload.

Mass Effect @masseffectGovorkam received its name because the nebula resembles a krogan. #WhenYouSeeIt #KroganGalaxy pbs.twimg.com/media/C-RSmUlXYAUMAKz.jpg Jo Berry @joanna_Berry"Wasn't Govorkam some krogan hero?" "Hero? More like a lucky idiot." LET IT GO, DRACK 😄 Anyone else see Godzliia's Head? I see a human head with his arm reaching out. I'm obviously no good at this.

I don't know if you read the book, but almost, if not all, were released from cryo during the uprising. We know the Ark cryo population as that's mentioned in several places in the game. But was a number given or hinted at in the book for the Nexus? Or how many lost on arrival? It's a much larger ship, so it's feasible that it carried a much larger cryo population. However, the Nexus was only partially completed; at no point in the story do I get a sense that there's a lot of people still aboard. Sorry. I meant the krogan. Most people on the Nexus were still in cryo. You're correct there. It's because there aren't enough resources to support them and only people who were able to work to provide those resources were thawed. A bit more with each colony, but it's still not at a level to support all the people on the arks and Nexus yet.

Why didn't a pathfinder travel with the Nexus The story explanation would seem to be that each Ark had a specific golden planet as it's preprogrammed destination and thus needed a Pathfinder and team... But the Nexus intent was to be the political center like the Citadel and hub for all the planets. However, as the first ship, even if the Nexus didn't warrant a Pathfinder, it would need some science, engineering and exploration teams along with military or some form of militia support or defense infrastructure because the potential unknowns. They do have all that. Or did. They had the scientists where were there to do deeper studies on whatever pathfinders might send their way. A militia of sorts once the original security team lost their leader, but they're there to secure the Nexus. Honestly, you'd think they'd have more to have to protect colonies. I do agree that it was incredibly naive to think there would be no hostile activity on arrival just because the AI has peaceful intent. They still have engineering. Exploration was supposed to have been left to pathfinder teams. Everyone else on board the Nexus was to study and do R&D with whatever pathfinders found in their travels. I think it's a bit strange that the pathfinder can do his own R&D on that tiny ship with all the resources required, but it's something I've been overlooking.

Well, it is a migration/colonization effort. I don't think the species representation is that far fetched. You need serious funds to pull that off. Unfortunately, not every race had it and this is pretty much a last-ditch effort to get some species to survive a very possible catastrophic and genocidal win by the Reapers. I'm just surprised the Volus didn't make it onto a ship because they're big-time money handlers. I think they will be included along with the other races on the incoming ark.

Well, there must have been a secret ark of criminals (unknown population) The impression I get from the story with the Nexus and exiles, was they didn't have a lot of people out of cryo, yet there's a large enough population of Krogan to start a colony, lots of crooks, bandits and pirates where ever you go in Heleus. Supposedly we've got the Krogan genophage that keeps their population down and supposedly humans under some form of birth control. I don't recall seeing how many were aboard the Nexus, but the Nexus survivors seemed stuck with keeping the population low because of low resources. I don't know if you read the book, but almost, if not all, were released from cryo during the uprising.

I think they should have allowed the player some leeway in defining the planets. The protag is a Pathfiner, no? Then let the player log in the notes of interesting planets or some remark. Of course they must put interesting things about that planet so the player would have things to say. Provide a choice / list of descriptive definitions the player can pick after a new planet is scanned, it can be strictly scientific, funny or just plain observations that may or not may link with the main plot. Not for all of them, some of them, just to vary the scan planet experience. This will provide some interesting gameplay / immersion; you are the pathfinder, on the search to find new worlds, etc. This is a brilliant idea. I hope BW sees this. Not sure how else they'll get the idea.

Yes, I would. I like that romances are there, but after I'm done with multiple play throughs, I don't usually do them and RP my head canon story anyway. So it doesn't affect RP to me that much.

I know. I had originally planned to have a different type of outpost on various planets. But that isn't allowed. A huge mistake, imo. What would be the point. Eos decision has zero consequences so why bother letting us pick more. I thought it would have had some kind of impact on the people you thaw on the Nexus as well. And what the people who were already awake. I guess I was expecting too much.

Let us say I will take this at face value, according to the Andromeda Initiative having a SAM is quite normal for a pathfinder. So there is nothing controversial about that because everyone knew, what they were in for. New galaxy, new rules... dont like it, do not leave the milkway. Still let me help you, yes your SAM is a little different and in a way more advance and potencial more dangerous. One of the options could be to take it out, so yes having that option should be there but you would die. So sure lets have a Morinth kinda of gameover, I am totally fine with that. From the story I played in MEA you are wrong about people knowing about SAM. Hell even Ryder Jr was surprised when he found out about SAM, but like everyone else who finds out about SAM he just fluffs it off. SAM is kept a secret in the Initiative except for the leadership, for a very good reason, people would freak. Yet anyone who finds out just ho hums, that cool. My character in the ME universe the second he learned SAM was embedded he would of told them to remove it, even if it risked his life. Yet not only are we NOT given a choice, our character is FORCED to carry on like, no big deal. Not only does that break canon but that is NOT allowing us to Role Play. Thank You Mr. Walters. No, everyone knows about SAM and the pathfinders having implants. SAM is present throughout all the ships, including the Nexus. All pathfinders have a somewhat advanced version of SAM and their teams have implants that allow them all to communicate faster than their own voice. SAM implants can also read a team's vitals and track one another when necessary. What surprised Ryder was the fact that his implant is more advanced than the others and is capable of sensing Ryder's emotions and tactile sensations, so the relationship with SAM and Ryder is more intimate than with the others. SAM also makes Ryder his/its main priority. And yes, there is a privacy mode where SAM can be muted, though that is just done in one scene as far as I know and the player can't control that.

Remotely related, but: Didn't Bioware say they didn't want the players to treat the Kett as just the bad guys, but for us to actually feel empathy for them? I didn't. Anyone did? I did. The Archon went against orders. Sealed off communication from his superiors and forced his soldiers to do things they normally wouldn't want to, all in an attempt to control the Remnant. That must suck That and the fact that the Kett are actually Angara. I can't help but wonder if there's some part of them, somewhere that remembers who they once were, but with no way to express it.

I just figured they all went to the same military academy and learned to dance there from some one-legged, one-eye dance instructor. Same teacher was there since Anderson's day.

I hate this, too. But more often, as soon as they get into the Nomad, I hear the last line of an apparent conversation. And so far, it never comes up again, so I miss the whole thing.
